Abu Homestay

The most exquisite place in kohima. It is located in a very quiet atmospheric and tranquil environment in the scenic hillock of Kruoliezou, Billy Graham Road, Kohima. Those who loves nature one can view a splendid hills and mountain range of mount Pulebedze. The location is easily excessible to local markets, Secratariate and it's adjoining offices and one of the first the then private college in Nagaland, Kohima College, Kohima.

The owner is very polite. The rooms and bathrooms (geyser provided) are clean and hygienic. Pretty much the standard you'd expect from an Airbnb/homestay. Also, you can enjoy the night view from the terrace. The only downside is there is no WiFi and the local amenities are a bit far away. Overall, a good place to stay at. (Edit: There is WiFi available. Another good reason to book yourself a room here)

Pros and Cons according to the rates charged. Pros- 1. Very beautiful house 2. Clean bed 3. Clean bathroom 4. Direct vehicle access to the house. 5. Awesome sunset view. 6. Very nice and helpful people. 7. Clean and soft towels. Cons- 1. Too far from the main city. 2. Dinner very limited, only dependent on a home delivery from a local restaurant, that too average food. 3. No mirror in room, only one in bathroom. Little bit problem for the ladies. 4. No bathroom sleepers when a good set of toiletries is given. (personally felt, not for everyone) 5. Very limited breakfast spread- breads, butter, egg and tea (considering the rental, this can be added with a dessert or juice). Overall review- People who loves to stay away from the bustling crowd, perfectly pitched for them. Good people both Mr. Akhojo and his son Atho. 100% recommended. If not far would have given 5 out of 5.

The bast part of the homestay is its location. It's bit away from main city. Those who love peace, will definitely like this place. The only limitation of this place is food availability. Otherwise everything is great...
