Stayed here recently, and it was perfect for a quiet getaway. The hotel is isolated enough for peaceful relaxation, yet still offers easy access to nearby spots. Rooms were affordable, very clean, and had a warm, welcoming feel. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, budget-friendly escape!

An excellent four-night stay at the charming Hotel Elite. The hotel is older, but the staff keep it impeccably clean and it has a very pretty, gentle vibe. Beds are comfortable and linens are good. Hotel manager Raphael speaks very good English and took excellent care of us during our stay -- she made sure our breakfast and dinner orders were just right, got our laundry done, and had some great tips for fun things to do in Lunglei. She is professional and also very warm and friendly. The rest of the staff are also very kind and helpful. Food in the hotel restaurant was really good, and fairly priced. We were able to eat simple, nourishing vegetarian meals: mixed vegetables, dal and johar rice every night, and breakfasts of aloo paratha and omelette for my travel companion, cornflakes with hot milk for me. Tea was excellent. Lunglei is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy country walks and a peaceful atmosphere. Traffic in the town is like in most Indian cities -- a little too much of it -- but people are very polite and don't generally honk, so walking isn't difficult the way it is in other cities. I recommend a visit to the Stone Bridge and a walk in the forest from there -- you can get a rickshaw to take you the 5 km to the entry to the stone bridge road. There's also Theiriat Tlang, a peak above Lunglei, about 7.5 km from Hotel Elite. Very clean pure air, lovely forest and a couple of lookout towers that let you see not just Lunglei itself, but also the surrounding mountains. It's a very peaceful place.

The best part of the hotel is it's got a good parking lot. The food is really good. The hospitality of the hotel owner is the best. The rooms are very clean and hygienic. The location is bit complicated but u can figure it out from Google map. The only complain i have is that the rooms are not very sound proof, you can hear the next room noises like snoring etc. They provide bath soap, water, clean sheets but no towel. Each room has balcony with a nice view. I will definitely stay here again if i visit Lunglei.

The hospitality was beyond expection. The location is literally on top of a hill about 300 metres from the main market road.Great parking space, great view, good menu and has a calm, relaxing vibe to the place. It's more like an AirBnB homestay rather than a typical hotel. I was so satisfied with my stay that I extended two more days. Highly recommend for backpackers, business and families. Doesn't burn a hole in your pocket.
