Hotel Sangchia

Wonderful stay! I once stayed there for the week during my official work. Services were awesome but food wasn't acceptable due to its quality and price. Room was spacious and toilets were clean which we usually don't get to see in small cities. Atm,bank, restaurants grocery, taxi, services etc are available nearby. It is a very safe place to stay with ample parking space which is rare in hilly city like Aizawl. They also have spa for both men and women at reasonable price.. Other useful info. Pros: ||||1. We took a room for 3 people, and the hotel has a room just specifically for 3 people which I found delightfully surprising.||2. Breakfast was unlimited and is served on your table in the small restaurant, and is tasty and filling.||3. The room is spacious with nice clean bathrooms||4. Quantity of food in room service was excellent||||Cons:||||1. In terms of price, the hotel is slightly above average priced I would say, but has breakfast included.||2. Water clogged in our bathroom in the 3 bedded room. ||3. Wifi signal was very weak, despite the fact that they have 3-4 routers in the hotel.||4. Room Service was very very slow and food taste was Ok ||||Tips:||||As is with anything in Aizawl, avoid checking in on a Sunday, nothing will be open in the market, and you may not find anyone at the hotel reception as well till maybe about 8-9am :)

As I have mentioned in the title of the review, the staffs are the main pillar of strength of Hotel Sangchia. The front desk helped me with every aspect during my entire stay of 5 days; special thanks to Miss Estar. The room service guys never said a 'no' to anything that we had requested and the housekeepers attended to every requirement with a smile. My infant daughter was with us - so we needed lot of extra support in terms of food and cleanliness - which all the staffs served with a positive attitude. The food prices are very reasonable and the presentation of the food was impressive. Aizawl is a remote place in India and I was very happy to see the professionalism of the team. Mizo people are very peaceful and lovely. The Deluxe room was spacious and equipped with modern amenities. The Millennium center - the major shopping complex of Aizawl is at 5 minutes walk. The neighborhood of Chanmari is a busy area with many shops and hotels. One can explore a decent & pocket friendly restaurant near the hotel named Jojo's Cafe. Overall the stay in Hotel Sangchia was satisfactory and I will recommend it for a mid-range budget option. The only problem that I faced was the noise from the nearby rooms - which were occupied by some business travellers who banged their doors so hard every time that my baby used to wake up from her sleep; But I cant really blame the Hotel for that.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained.. But the food here is very poor quality and overpriced. The staff are well behaved. Parking is available for free. They also have a spa for both men and women which is reasonably priced. But I have to say the food quality is really bad. I thought mizo's were awesome when it comes to food ..maybe I should have tried some place outside. Toilets are pretty clean which I don't get to see in small cities outside south India.

Rooms are not that good but the view from the hotel windows is awesome! Staff is polite and friendly and service is good. You should stay in this hotel just for the view. View at morning and evening is heavenly. Even though the food is not that good, done good restaurants like red pepper are nearby you can go there and eat.

This is very bad hotel. Staff behavior is not good. Room service is very bad. No power for full night they don't run generator. In there meal you can find insect and staff doesn't bother. The time of booking informed price 1900. But the check out time charged 3000. They say it's superior room. Even in room the don't keep any cup or glass. Ufffff. I can not explain more. If any one want this bad experience so pls come to this hotel and get angry your self ......

Great location just at the main market. View of the valley from rooms is excellent. Dec 25-Jan 31 is not ideal time to visit because almost everything in aizawl is closed down due to festival. Most of the staff of sangchia hotel had also gone. Some of the staff had remained in the hotel, and they provided very good service. The best thing was the valley view from the rooms. They provide complimentary breakfast and free wifi. The wifi is very bad and did not connect to any of the mobile phones. Apart from wifi problem, I loved the stay at this hotel.

I booked double bed room in this hotel for one night only. Room was spacious and AC was working properly. Bathroom was good and clean. Food was ok type.Staffs were cooperative.This hotel has beauty parlour which provide massage and steam bath facility. There is also DTDC courier office at this hotel. They provide free complementary breakfast.
