Hotel Regency

Very disappointed with the quality of room given, right next to staff bathroom, could hear the flush everytime and very dirty outside the room. When asked to change the room, they showed me poor quality rooms once again, reluctantly. Very uncomfortable stay. Very noisy rooms with traffic noise all night, and adjacent neighbourhood is noisy apartments. Rooms and bathroom is dirty. Front office staff were unpleasant to deal with, not helpful. Food choice was limited for vegetarians. Not a hotel I would recommend for stay if you want some peace and quiet and cleanliness.

Room size is ok, AC was not working though they charged for it. The room was clean and the washroom was clean. Food is ok not great. But this is one of the best hotels in Aizawl.

Such a nice food in Aizwal never expected. Soo many north Indian dishes available and even kerala parotta. Pork and beef items are tasty. U can try all items without any hesitation.

Hotel Regency is one of those places you stay at because you don't have much of a choice--and it shows. Here's my experience: 1. Basic Rooms: The rooms are as simple as they come--just the bare minimum. Don't expect much in terms of comfort or amenities. 2. Awkward Washroom Layout: One of the things I found most annoying was the placement of the washbasin inside the toilet. It feels cramped and awkward, not to mention a bit uncomfortable to use. 3. Breakfast Disappointment: Breakfast was honestly the biggest letdown. The options were very limited, and the quality was below average. On top of that, it's completely self-service, so if you need help with anything, you're on your own. 4. Extra Charges: The fact that they charge you for something as small as an extra helping of chutney felt unreasonable. It leaves you feeling nickel-and-dimed. 5. No Alternatives: The frustrating part is, this is pretty much the only option for staying in Aizawl. That makes the experience even harder to accept because there's nowhere else to go. All in all, it's not a place I'd willingly choose again unless I absolutely had to. If you're planning to stay here, just manage your expectations--it's functional but far from enjoyable.

My 12 nights of stay at Hotel Regency in Aizawl was a mixed bag. While the hotel's cleanliness and ambiance were commendable, the service left much to be desired. The ladies at the Mangolia Restaurant were warm and courteous, always willing to help. However, their male counterparts were surprisingly rude and manner less. Requests for simple services, like a cup of black coffee, were met with a brusque "self-service" response.||||||The food was average, with a peculiar tendency for the chef to add sugar to almost every dish, including savory options like nan and paneer pulav.||||||Overall, Hotel Regency has potential but needs significant improvement in its service standards, particularly among the male staff.

Rooms are very small. Courteous staff. Food is slightly expensive. Location is nice.
