Hotel Ahimsa, Zarkawt

A budget hotel, if you can call any hotel in aizawl budget. Only redeeming factor is location which is close to central town area in zarkawt. Else rooms and service leaves much to be desired. Although if compared to similar hotels in zarkawt, rooms are bigger and yet cheap. Food at best is edible bu t don't hope for any great taste. If fills your stomach and that's about it.

One of oldest hotel... On the name of this hotel... Road name ahimsa road... If u want view from hotel u will not find... Very near zarkawt traffic point.. From where u can all way vehicle silchar shillong guwahati.. All district of mizoram.. And city bus...

I was travelling for 20 days around North East and stayed at this hotel for one night. I was so warmly welcomed and cared from hotel manager Miss Victoria, She brought me to very good food place, she helped me to solve my transport problems. Other hotel staff also was very friendly. Food is possible to be arranged in room too. Bedsheets were clean. I wish to say the best about this hotel. Only I was missing good WiFi connection in room. ||Located at the city centre but off the main road noice. After 4 days touring around Mizoram I returned again same hotel, even I had not thinking more how to find a good room for normal price, so that time I already felt like coming back home. If my route will bring me one more time so far to North East I will be happy to come to same hotel.||Just I read a couple reviews posted many years ago from unsatisfied clients so I feel this hotel has overgone very big changes. And I really wish to let travellers make the right choice. It is not a luxury hotel, but really very clean and friendly budget hotel. Stay safe in Aizawl choosing Ahimsa!

Room is ok and clean.. They charged 800 per night.. Behavior was good... But price of food was terrific.. Omlet=70, 2boiled egg=50 , rice =70(not boiled properly) ..

This place was disgusting. I arrived at night to a filthy room and when I asked for my toilet to be cleaned the staff weren't interested in helping at all. Three people stood in my room while I waited for them to do something. It seems they were annoyed that I'd interrupted their sitting at reception and smoking time. With so many staff this hotel should be clean, but they are all too lazy and rude. They were even too lazy to properly greet me on arrival. This is the worst hotel I've seen in this country.

It was not a good staying in this hotel. Rooms were cosy and not maintained properly. Bathrooms was also not clean. Food quality was not good. It's better to order the food from outside. Their charges are okay but quality has been compromised.

The stay was clustrophobic, only good for roving salesmen and persons having work to do and nothing else. However, one thing goes for it, it is under renovation, but I do not see any foresight there too.
