Palazzo Gatto Bianco

We (wrongly) assumed that this was a hotel and therefore would have a reception. There is no information on Booking.com to suggest this is a self-check-in property. It is also difficult to locate. There are two buildings opposite each other both with the same name and with a restaurant on the ground floor. There is no clearly marked entrance to the accommodation on either building. Fortunately, we arrived early afternoon and the restaurant staff were still on site who kindly helped us out. ||Once we realised there was no reception, we had to refer to the booking information to try and ascertain how to access the room. On reflection we should have looked more closely at the booking before arrival. That said, it was not clear in the information provided how to get in. Luckily the restaurant staff could speak a bit of English and kindly called the help number for us who advised we needed to download an app to register the booking and get the room access details. This took unnecessary time and effort and wasn't made clear enough on the booking. We managed to get it working with the help of the support agent. This caused us a bit of stress as we had arranged for our bags to be delivered to the hotel before our arrival and we had no idea how the taxi could have delivered them given the complexity of access. Fortunately, they were in the room when we arrived although we have no idea how this was done.||We booked a double room with balcony. The room we were given appears to have been a Superior based on the photos on the website, however rather than the upgrade we would have preferred the original room. The shower was ridiculously placed right in the middle of the room, offering no privacy and opening the curtains would have given anyone in the opposite building a full view on anyone taking a shower. Who on earth thought this was a good design?||The room was modern and had a large comfortable bed. Despite this the fact that the shower was completely separate to the bathroom stuck in the middle of the room ruined the stay for us. ||Breakfast was served in the restaurant but was pretty poor. There were a few overcooked croissants and a limited selection of other items. The two waitresses were not really interested in their jobs and stood around chatting.||If you are willing to use an app and check yourself in based on the knowledge that should you experience any issues they will not be quick to resolve, then this property is a decent choice. The rooms are modern and the hotel centrally located. The airport bus stops a block away which is convenient. Our advice would be to avoid the Superior Double room unless you are an exhibitionist.

People should be told on the website that there is mandatory check in by app. This is not an hotel. There is no reception. It was dreadful. Coming by ship from Dubrovnik it was not possible to use the app. When we boarded the app still hadn't accepted our check in information. We were arriving at 7.30. Worried that the office would be shut and that we wouldn't have the door codes. They had to send us screen shots.||It seems that they are a franchise operation. ||They said no one else had a problem with the app. They did. When we arrived at the hotel a couple were very distressed as they couldn't get the codes and see reviews on Booking.com. ||No possibility of leaving luggage to be collected later after check out.Had a lot of luggage which we had to walk with for 10 minutes to the office. ||Breakfast poor.||I would never stay in one of their establishments again.

Beautiful room, everything new, modern, fresh. The Services are very good, if you need anything you have a fast reply from the staff. You can get your information from their app which is very handy, regarding the acces code from room, breakfast schedule, taxi any many more. The place is placed 8 min from train station and old town and the head office is 7 min away. I enjoyed it and recommend it.

Nicely designed rooms, very comfortable beds, attentive extras like tea and coffee maker. Self check in via app, not very intuitive but works and at arrival all very easy and support via what's app. Tasty Breakfast in restaurant downstairs

Everything is brilliant except for the checking in part which is very confusing and odd but everything else superb

Wir waren fur 3 Tage in Bari und haben incl. Fruhstuck. Lt. Website sind die Zimmer im4 Stock eines Hauses, das stimmt nicht und wenn Sie wie wir Pech haben, dann bekommen Sie das Zimmer uber den Restaurant im ersten Stock. Und dann ist das grosse Manko des Hauses, das niemand vor Ort ist. Telefonisch niemand erreicht, auf email antwortet erhalten, Zimmer ist Ihre Buchung, Ende. Das Zimmer war ausreichend gross mit separaten Bad und begehbarer Dusche. Bett ausreichend gross. Standort ideal fur Bari, alles vor der Tur. Das Fruhstuck waren dann aber die grosste Enttauschung. Ein junges Madel, das lieber nicht in dieser Branche arbeiten sollte und eine Qualitat die leider sehr schlecht war. Es fehlte immer etwas. Die App hat im grossen und ganzen gut funktioniert. Wir wurden nicht mehr hier buchen.

Antes de llegar nos comunicamos con ellos para el parking y nos dieron todos nos consejos y opciones posibles. Al final encontramos aparcamiento en la puerta, es zona azul y no hizo falta utilizar el privado pero lo bueno es que en todo momento te ofrecen opciones. Pudieron darnos la habitacion antes de hora, cosa que se agradece y encima el desayuno los domingos es a las 8 pero como nuestro vuelo salia a las 9 y teniamos que estar a 8 como maximo en el aeropuerto hicieron el favor de hacer el desayuno a las 7.Increible la atencion. Ademas el desayuno muy completo y te hacen tortilla al momento. Gracias por todo y si volvieramos repetiriamos. La habitacion Jackie muy confortable.
