Oriente Hotel Bari

Wonderful 4 night stay in Bari. Staff were very helpful in early check-in for jetlagged guests and in suggestions for dining and sightseeing. |Room with balcony facing the street was comfortable, very clean and except for one night (Saturday) quiet.|Breakfast was excellent with abundant selections of both sweet and savory. Ate one late lunch/early dinner in the restaurant after a long flight and was happy with the food selection and friendly staff.|Good location. 10 minute walk to old town with many attractions and in the opposite direction 10 min walk to train. A number of restaurants close by and we felt safe walking at night. We were surprised how attractive that part of Bari is. Lots of shops.|Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights and appreciated its excellent central location, just a short walk from Bari Vecchia (the old city). The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was a highlight--offering both continental and Italian options with high-quality local products. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable.||However, the bed was a bit too firm for our liking, and the pillows were thin and not very comfortable. While the hotel advertises air conditioning, the room still felt warm despite the heating being turned off. We had to open the windows, but this let in noise from the inner courtyard, which was quite loud at times.||Overall, it was a decent stay for the price, but a few comfort improvements could make it even better.

This hotel is well located - short taxi ride (or an easy walk without luggage) from the Central Station. It's next door to Teatro Petruzzelli (Bari's main theatre/opera house, which offers interesting tours in English) and within easy walking distance of the waterfront and the old city, as well as the modern city. In our view it's more convenient that the other JR hotel on the waterfront. ||The hotel has a large, attractive, lobby which was usually empty and a bar/restaurant downstairs at the back of the hotel. While fine for the (generally good) breakfast buffet, the bar/restaurant did not look a great place for eating or drinking in the evening. ||Our room was not huge and slightly old-fashioned, but nicely furnished.

Fairly decent hotel. The rooms were decent, but the rooms were not soundproof. We were unable to sleep on most nights, especially on Friday night. Loud noises, cars, shouts , ambulances, sirens and car horns were constant until at least 3.00 am. I f you prefer to sleep at night, choose a different hotel.

Our stay at the JR Oriente was very pleasant. The Horlick was very clean & quiet. I would rate it a 3 star hotel rather than 4 star. The rooms needed a facelift, as furniture & carpets have seen better days. Also the hotel caters to business guest, yet there were no USB ports in the guest rooms. The very helpful staff gave us adapters & we were able to charge our devices. Breakfast was included & very good. The hotel was centrally located, so we could easily walk everywhere. The bathrooms were spacious & has nice toiletries. This hotel was reasonably priced & I would recommend it.

Apparently in 2025 this hotel, can only be booked if you hold a credit card or debit car... if u hold a rechargeable, or Revolut or atm card from your oversee account , you can't book here! First try to book from their web site , twice denied, contacted them via IG, got automatic answer with their mail address, sent a mail, and the mail come back because wrong... I made a call, they send me a link via mail, again same problem, I called back again, I ask to make a bank transfer, they said cannot, because I arrive in 2 days, but bank transfer take more than 2 days to be received!! I'm traveling Italy since 3 weeks from north and I've been booking already 9 hotels, and this is the only one unaccessible The worst thing, the receptionist over the phone not even willing to find a solution for you! Welcome to Bari hospitality how they called 4 stars.... . This review will be delete only after I will be contacted back from someone who has management and decision skills! Very nice hotel in a great Bari location. Wonderful staff. Clean, large rooms with excellent amenities. Well worth staying. The staff was especially helpful with our travel issues and very efficient. The breakfast is adequate and the roof top garden bar is worth time for a drink and snacks.

This was my first time in this hotel, chain and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised and a very happy guest rossella the front desk young lady was so helpful that she made me feel that I was an important guess which always makes a guess. Feel good. She helped me with reservations. How to get where I wanted to go like the grocery store, etc. I even had problems before we got here. She answered my text. This is a woman who really feel strongly about people orienting and making her hotel. Stand out by her service. The room was small, but worked well for two people. There was a small desk with a chair a mini bar safe the bed was comfortable the bathroom. The shower was fine. They had all the toiletries that you would need. The towels were good breakfast was very good if you want cappuccino, you can ask and the service staff will be happy to make it for you if you want to have eggs there's a cost involved. they do have the usual rambled eggs already made plus all kinds of yogurt, fruits, croissants cheeses, The lobby is very nice to sit in. This was a very pleasant experience and location is what it's all about for me and I must say I could get everywhere I want to go in this town the old town shopping street plenty of restaurants.
