B&B Principe

Pro: Very nice location, clean, big and new, smells fresh. Big and comfortable bed. We didn't book but we call the property when we were around, at the end of may. 2 car parking space in the yard. 6 min driving from the airport, 4 min walk from the train station and 1 min walk to the bus station. Coffee shop and good restaurants around. Cons: - cheap toiletries, just soap, shower gel and intimate soap (i had the thought someone left them when they ended their holiday) - Old towels, not soft at all - Thin walls - we can hear the neighbors and we are sure they heard us - Just one shower head not with hose to move it and as a woman I don't wash my hair daily so was a challenge for me and the shower water was warm not hot - in the last day we received just 2 big towels and one small and when i wanted to wash my hair i had none to dry it out. We stayed in a room with private bathroom, and paid 75 euro/night and 4 euro other costs per person. We had no breakfast included, just a coffee capsule everyday for each person.

Place has a hall+kitchen with big secure entrance door.From there you have the hallway to the rooms/bathrooms. Some rooms have the bathroom integrated while some have it separate,keep this in mind,as it might not be practical for everyone(external bathrooms can be locked via key) Overall the place is very clean,they come and change the towels every day and do the beds,etc. Pros: - 2 train stops from Bari Centrale and the train stop is like 2minutes on foot. - 10+ restaurants in 10-15minutes on foot. - Sea is also about 10-15minutes on foot but no official beach there,although locals are going into the sea there with kids. - Host can be reached via phone most of the time and he speaks english - Clean rooms - Easy to find Cons: - Breakfast is prepacked,so called junk food(croissant,cookie,etc.) so better of buying your own as it is not sufficient for an adult. - You get 1 coffee capsule/person/day - Air-conditioning only available in the rooms,not the kitchen/hall,and even in the rooms it is pre-programmed to a pre-set temp and runs like 3-4hours a day only,which is not enough during the summer. - Taps in the kitchen are not functioning,hot water is only available in the shower,but not in the sink.

We booked a different b&b Rosa Blu, but got accommodated here instead without any notice. It was extremely noisy - trains, plains, motorcycles, cars, noisy neighbours, other guests slamming doors at 2 AM. The air conditioner is being turned on remotely from the host and at a preset temperature with no possibility of switching it on/off whenever needed. There are no mosquito nets, so opening the windows is not an option either.

Everything went as expected. Great accomodation for the price. AC was really nice during the hot summer nights. The breakfast is not the best but there are good options close by. The cleanliness is great daily cleaning and all necessary equipment is available. The owner and the staff is always helpful and reachable within minutes. I would recommend it for anyone travelling the area.

I didn't know that the restroom is not inside the room. It is very inconvenient to get out of the shower walk out of the bathroom and go to your room. If you go out you have to lock your room, restroom and the gate with a key they give you. The host showed me the "breakfast" but it was just junk food. I could not stand to be in the restroom for long because it has a terrible smoke smell. I don't recommend this hotel.

Loved everything about the stay! Italo ( the host ) is wonderful. Such a welcoming guy.

I strongly recommend Principe if you are looking for a place to stay close to the airport and place from where you can catch the train to travel around Bari. It is also close to the sea and there is a nice town where you can walk. Price included delicious breakfast as well. Italo was very informative and helpful with everything. We will visit again

Uncomfortable, bathroom outside the room. Room too small, the host very unwelcoming. Not recommend for more than one night.
