Hotel Alpine Continental, Shillong

Though I haven't visited lately. But it was our go to hotel during our childhood. So much nostalgia attached to it. Back then not much buildings were around so could see the blooms in the mountains. The view of the Ram Krishna Mission was good as well. We would accompany our parents on their work trips. So we sometimes had to stay in the hotel room. So looking out the window was our pass time. Back then there was no TV in the room nor did we have phone with us. We even made friends with the hotel staff and we would follow them when they went to serve other rooms. Back then people were chill. The beds were so cozy. I will make a point to visit this place someday soon.

Awsome experience. Loved the ambience and the food was amazing. Really enjoyed every bit of the stay with Alpine Continental. The room service was also superb and fast and met the required expectations. It really gave the trip a new shape altogether.

At first i wasn't very happy about booking with Alpine however since no rooms were available we booked there, however my stay there was excellent, it was the New Year's Eve 2024 and inspite the hectic schedule Ms Reela at the reception took great efforts to make our stay really comfortable, she is really hardworking and sincere in her work, the rooms given to us on the 3rd floor was also good with a comfortable king size bed and really good breakfast option Daby at the restaurant was also really polite and helpful she helped my kids in every way possible. I had booked another 3 star for the next 02 days however my experience at Alpine was better, staff are helpful and very polite, thats what we all need to be humane!!

visited on 15.01.2025 for 2 days location great as hotel is in main police bazar rooms were so great. Service is great as i asked for additional teak coffee kits extra they instantly provided no if and buts. hotel arranged a taxi for me with normal fare. definitely this hotel is great.

Mixed review on this place. First time stay at this place was great because the room was good (it was on 1st floor) and it had room heater plus bathroom was clean. While coming back from Cherrapunji, we stayed a night here again and room was given on -1 floor. Room was stinking because of seepage. We had to change the room and they gave us a room on ground floor which was very small and bathroom was even smaller. tip: if you are there, ask for rooms on 1st floor and above. Food: ordered pasta and Momos for dinner and it was amazing. Food indeed is great here. Buffet breakfast: is good enough. Parking: located on a narrow lane hence no parking here and the some part of hotel is under construction too. Location: few meters away from police bazaar. Staff: good and helpful.

Very spacious and well maintained rooms. Beyond expectations for such a budget friendly tariff. In close vicinity of Police Bazaar, the heart of the city. Food is also great.

It is in the heart of the city. The hotel is quite nice and also rooms are spacious. We have booked an Executive Room and the hotel also provide us heater for night. Running hot water 24X7 is quite a luxury. They also have Resturant and Bar with room services. The also have parking for your car.

The room is nice and room service is excellent. The hotel is a old one and looks antique.||However, the small attached room in the suite was not well illuminated|The bed is soft which can cause backpain.|The mirror in the bathroom wasn't clear and the shaving mirror was missing.|Other than that,the bathroom was spacious and had good sunlight
