Woodstock Farmhouse, Shillong

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Woodstock Farmhouse and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel does not prioritize guest satisfaction. Poor Facilities: The facilities were inadequate and poorly maintained. The room was outdated. The promised amenities were either non-functional or completely absent. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the room heater barely worked, making the stay extremely uncomfortable. Limited Food Quantity: The food service was another major disappointment. The limited food options were not only poorly prepared but also served in meager portions. Despite the high prices, the quality and quantity of the food were far below standard. There were no provisions for dietary preferences or special requests, and the staff seemed indifferent to customer feedback. Conclusion: I would strongly advise against staying at Woodstock Farmhouse. The lack of proper facilities, limited food quantity, and overall poor service made for a deeply unsatisfactory experience. It's clear that this hotel needs significant improvements in every aspect to meet even the most basic expectations of a comfortable stay.

Excellent service, also I loved the foods. The staff members are very friendly and are supportive too. The location is also very good as it is just near the roadside and the rates are competitive too. I do feel visiting again in near future with friends and family.

This is neither a hotel nor a restaurant, rather it's a roadside Dhaba. No family can't stay stay here comfortably. No professional staff employed|to serve the guests. Only a single lady staff manage this property including guest service .|Most scary part, no night security at gate and campus. It's just free for all after 9.30 pm, horrible situation.|Room is fine, but wash room is old fashioned|, muddy water from tap. Tap water can't be used for regular use . |Breakfast is basic, just toast omlet , no standard food with fruits with breakfast.|Overall it's not fit for a standard tourist family.|Don't know how this property is under Polo group.|Also can't understand how it's "Travellers Choice"|Property by Trip Advisor. Very sad .. not value for money .

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences we've had, especially considering we paid over 20,000 INR. For the price, the service and condition of the hotel were utterly unacceptable. To begin with, the room was not centrally heated, and the heater provided was completely non-functional. After requesting a replacement, we were given another one, but it was barely effective, leaving us shivering in the middle of the winter. Additionally, the geyser in the room didn't work. Another major issue was the lack of basic amenities. Despite being in a cold climate, the hotel didn't provide bottled drinking water as a standard offering, and when we asked for some, they charged us for it. This was surprising and disappointing. The condition of the room itself was appalling. The pillow we were given looked extremely used and stained, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The doors had visible dust and appeared to have black mold, which is a serious health concern. The taps were leaky, and the sink was dirty upon arrival, which suggests a lack of attention to basic cleanliness. To top it off, the "suite" room we booked was located up a flight of shoddy, poorly maintained stairs, which made access difficult and inconvenient. The size of the cottage rooms was much smaller than expected, and certainly not worth the premium price. Overall, this experience felt more like a 1-star service than anything close to what we were expecting. Given the price we paid, the lack of basic facilities, and the overall neglect in service and cleanliness, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a complete disappointment.

The rooms were decent and the location was on the main road to cheerapunji from shillong. The staff was very polite. Queency and Bansha made the check in and check out smooth while Lary, Chiran, Sangma, Robjoy and Dinesh made sure the the rooms were well maintained and the food was served hot and fresh. The options in the food menu were limited but the taste was good. Would surely recommend a stay if you're traveling this side.

Horrible stay at this place. I still wonder how Polo tower's group attached with such worthless resort. It's a bhoot banglow with limited customer. Staff was nice and humble but the management is not showing any interest over the resort. Fully waste of money and time. Don't ever book this resort.

Totally disgusting property of polo towers group. Horrible night stay at this property with such high tariff. Better to stay away from this property. All aminities are damaged, bed was queen type made of iron. Doors were broken.

One of the worst, we had ordered for 1 noodles, 1 chilli chicken and 2 red tea and they have served us with two frying Pan it was just like the cooking utensil brought directly from the gas to our table and to my surprise the total bill was nearly Rs.750/- which also included service charge, whats the point of charging service charge when GST is already included. The quality of food is pathetic not upto the price they have charged. It was just basic. I highly recommend not to waste the hard earned money on such quality.
