Winnie's Lodge

I found this lodge through Google and I m surprised that it's beyond my imagination. Since the room is budget friendly and the location is easy to search. The room is clean and service is good. The food was good too. But most importantly the owner is very friendly and kind. I hope to visit again

The stay was very terrible and no words to describe the dirty conditions in which the stay is maintained. Bed sheets are torn, pillow covers are dirty, they provided towels (2 towels for 7 people) that were dirty. On request to upgrade the room from basic double standard to family room with extra charge that we were ready to pay ,the owner was rudest. She scolded us to be grateful instead that we got a room, she even mocked us how can we expect 5 star treatment in basic rooms. but it is not about basic or 5 star treatment, even the poor can live in clean rooms. The owner even made false allegations that we were creating chaos till 2am and didn't pay for food. Even if her allegations are true, this will question her homestay safety that how come a group of people leave without any commotion if payment was still due. And about staying awake till 2am, why can't she show cctv footage if we have done such a thing. She has the audacity to call us later ,unnecessary calling us and telling us to make payment that was already paid. She has some mental problems for which she must seek help , otherwise who opens a homestay and scolds the guest.No hi fi facilities are anyway available inside the room, so why are they not keeping the room clean atleast. To add to the dingy rooms, their bathrooms are even more disgusting. the shared bathroom that was given had water leakage problem, the attached bathroom of the family rooms were so small that one can't even move to close the door once inside. They charged us 3800 rupees and 1800 rupees for family room and basic double room respectively per day which is not so less that she thinks she has the authority to speak rubbish. So much money for a day and they can't even keep the rooms clean. I don't want to give even 1 star in the review for this place and remove such low quality service providers from the internet. And also the rudeness of the owner is something that adds to your trauma. I wish i had never visited the place and instead i could have done an offline stay booking once i reached the place. online photos of them are misleading about the property and gives people a wrong idea that the stay is sober.

The owner went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, offering helpful local recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.It's clear that the owner genuinely cares about their guests and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Winnie's Lodge for anyone seeking a cozy and personalized getaway.

A Disappointing Experience I had a thoroughly disappointing experience during my stay on 07-11-2024, which fell short of even basic hospitality standards. Unclear Information: We weren't informed that the washroom wasn't attached. To make things worse, the common washroom lacked essentials like toilet paper. Insufficient Amenities: Only one towel was provided for two guests. When we requested an additional one, we were told, quite abruptly, that only one towel per room was the policy. Limited Wi-Fi Access: There was no Wi-Fi on the ground floor, and we were asked to pay more to move to the first floor for Wi-Fi access. However, the room on the first floor had a musty odor, making the upgrade feel like a poor trade-off. Hygiene Issues: The bathroom on the first floor had a spider, and again, no toilet paper was provided. Refusal to Refund: When we requested a refund at the start due to the unsatisfactory conditions, it was denied without consideration for our concerns. This experience was especially disappointing given the unwelcoming attitude of the landlady, which contrasted sharply with the helpfulness of the service staff. As a traveler, a welcoming atmosphere is fundamental, and this stay was anything but. I would advise others to proceed with caution if considering a booking here.

I had an unpleasant experience at this lodge during my stay on November 7, 2024. The lady I spoke with over the phone was rude, and it felt like crucial details were withheld--she didn't mention that the rooms didn't have attached bathrooms, nor that there would be no Wi-Fi on the ground floor. When I asked about this, I was told, '1500 mein itna hi milega,' and was asked to pay extra for a room with Wi-Fi. The room itself was disappointing. It smelled stale, was filled with spider webs, and I even found spiders inside. Additionally, although we were two adults, only one towel was provided, and even after requesting an extra one, it was denied. This was, unfortunately, the worst part of an otherwise great trip. I wouldn't recommend this lodge to others based on my experience. Updated Response - Ma'am, let me correct you. I paid 1500, and I was given a room without an attached bathroom and zero Wi-Fi connectivity. Additionally, only one towel was provided for two adults, and you refused our request for an extra towel. When we complained about the lack of Wi-Fi, you demanded an extra 200 to move us to a first-floor room. Those rooms, too, were dirty, filled with filth and spiders. Yes, we had an unpleasant experience, and the reason was your attitude and service. Your lodge's current rating of 3.4 accurately reflects the level of luxury and hospitality you offer. I hope this feedback helps you understand where improvement is needed.

This Winnie lodge exceeded all our expectations! The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the views were spectacular. It's rare to find such a peaceful spot with so many amenities. Highly recommend

The hotel ambience is very nice and adequate to live there..the rooftop is having a very beautiful view....the staffs are very much supporting and ready to respond... couldn't try the food..i will definitely visit here again

Totally worthless. Owner, her behaviour ,foods , rooms all are bad. Rooms are untidy, unclean, nasty. Don't go there
