Really awesome place. After 2 very bad exoeriences in Assam this was really a good change. Good rooms, conplimentary breakfast and helpful staff. Mr Murari Sharma has been really helpful through the process. I really dont have anything negative to say here, they even stretched timings a little to get us dinner.

We booked this hotel at the end moment looking at the Google pics and reviews but it was not as per our expectations or how it is shown online. Room was decent but you can better options with better facilities and prime location at this price. The restaurent is very small, cannot accommodate all the guests at the same time hence they suggested us to have our dinner in our room. We stayed here for 2 days and in both the days we had dinner in our room. Water was not available in the morning, we had to leave by 8 am, since there was no water we had to wait till 9 am to use bathroom because of which everything was delayed. The manager's (I think he is a nepali uncle) reaction was very casual on this issue. No apologies at all. I asked once to remove or reduce the service tax to which the nepali uncle (I mean the manager) very unprofessionally answered that it is not possible. I just paid and left (paid around rs 12000+ and the service tax was rs 600) I will definitely not going to visit this place again and will not suggest anyone else.

Very disappointed with my stay at Phoenix Residency, Shillong. They charged 60 per glass for baby milk -- something that's complimentary in most decent hotels. This shows a lack of basic hospitality. The Wi-Fi was almost unusable, and the staff seemed indifferent to guest needs. Definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend to anyone especially those coming with family. Not at all KID FRIENDLY!!!

We had stayed at the hotel for one night. - 1. Rooms were not very clean. 2. Hospitality is not good. Staff is very casual and rude in their attitude. 3. Breakfast options are very limited. And taste is also below average. 4. We checked in hotel at around 5PM but the room was not ready. We had to wait for around 30 mins. I am sure you get better options in that price point. Most of reviews are seem to be fake. Reality is entirely different.

Had an overall great stay in the hotel. The location of the hotel is good. The rooms are well furnished and clean. The staff is helping and polite. Look forward to more such stays! :)

I had a highly disappointing experience at Phoenix Residency, Shillong. The Standard rooms are extremely substandard for the rates they charge, making the entire stay feel like a scam. The washroom setup is poorly designed--more of an afterthought just to meet basic requirements. The shower placement is impractical and collides with the door, while the washbasin and mirror orientation make no sense at all. To make things worse, the plumbing is completely reversed--hot water comes from the cold tap, and cold water comes from the hot tap. Basic functionality seems to be the least of their concerns. Even something as basic as a ceiling fan is not up to standard. Instead of a proper cooling solution, there's a wall-mounted fan that barely serves the purpose. To top it all off, the service is shockingly careless. I ordered veg pakora, and they served me chicken pakora instead. This is completely unacceptable, especially for people who have dietary restrictions or religious reasons for avoiding meat. Such a blunder is not just a mistake--it's reckless and inexcusable. And how did they handle this? Instead of taking accountability, they initially tried to charge me for a room upgrade. It was only after their major food mix-up that they reluctantly upgraded my room--clearly as damage control, not as genuine customer service. For the prices they demand--comparable to a 3-star hotel--the service, amenities, and overall experience are completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise against booking a stay here. There are far better options in Shillong at similar or even lower prices.

We had very pleasant stay at hotel Phoenix residency. The rooms are quite spacious, comfortable, cosy and provide all basic amenities. Bathrooms are somewhat small but well lighted and pressure in taps and shower is amazing. The staff is helpful in giving you all possible services you ask for. I rate this hotel 7 out of 10.

Rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast had many options but it was good. I feel the price as little costly. It could have been more affordable for a long stay. Parking issue is there if there are many vehicles. But it can manage up to 10 vehicles easily.
