The Golf Retreat, Shillong

Excellent service and location though some small additions in the room like bedside carpets, liquid soap dispenser near wash basin etc would be useful. But we would like to add, that the sight from the balcony was stunning, offering an unimpeded view of the opposite golf course. Room service was prompt but some of the dishes we wished to try weren't available due to ingredients being out of stock. We implore them to make sure that they always have ingredients in stock to allow tourists to try the local delicacies without limitations. We also give kudos to the chef, Empor, and the waitress(whom we regretfully forgot to ask her name) for accommodating us so well. Overall, it was a great hotel and we would recommend.

Recently stayed at The Golf Retreat and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel's location was one of its strongest points, situated just 10 minutes away from Police Bazar, making it easily accessible to all the major attractions. However, the breakfast spread was a letdown. The options were very limited and they didn't even have basic amenities like a toaster On the other hand, the rooms were neat and well-maintained. The staff was also good.

Gold course view to wake up with and easy walk nearby. Evening can be filled with using the cafes nearby. Good veg thali if u wanna try local food. Basic hotel with good services. Staff as always courteous and the area gives a view of less traffic to roam around.

Nice cozy hotel good service and hospitality. Facing the golf course. Enjoy the foods at the restaurant one of the best Chinese meal after a week in India. Location is quite near to Police Bazar to experience the local market of the community

We r senior citizens,stayed here for three nights. Very good well managed Hotel in Shillong in front of Golf ground. Very courteous and polite smiling staff. Quick and efficient room service. Tasty food. Nice coffee. Rooms have all facilities.

It is good, but I wonder why they charge the non-customers for using the restaurants washrooms.
