The Centre Point Shillong

I would like to share my horrible experience in this hotel. There was water pump failure and there was no water in the bathroom including the comode. I brought up this issue to the front desk at 4AM, as I had to leave at 6AM, despite this no alternative arrangements were made, when I again raised this issue, the front desk were helpless, and the manager of the wing which I am staying was not contactable. When I reached out to the manager of the other wing, he tried to arrange an alternative, by then it was too late. I had to use the rest room of the restaurant whichwas notproperly maintained. They even forgot to provide me the packed breakfast which I had requested before. When I returned in the evening and complained about the incident, the manager was unapologetic and his attitude was indifferent. I do understand that water pump failure is in no body "s hands. But what I am upset is the way it was handled and attitude of the staff. All the manager should have done is pick up the call from front desk when I brought this issue arrange an alternative room to freshen up. Instead he failed in his duty not picking up the call which was done to him by front desk multiple times and let me suffer and be un apologetic for the same next day.

What sucks about this hotel is the wifi. They give you a coupon which has limit of 1.5 gb. That also once u get disconnected u cant join back again. If u have lot of office work to do and and in need of wifi to work this hotel is a big no no. In these times when even a basic hotel provides hassle free uninterrupted wifi this hotel sucks big time. Ambience is outdated too very poorly lit. I suffered due to wifi restriction

The hotel is full when we have reached. It usually very much sold out during Peak Season as most of the tourist want to stay in the heart of the city. Most of the Home Stay and Hotel Near by areas of Police Bazaar closes by 11 pm. The hotel opens 24X7 for the guests. Book rooms prior to your visit.

No negatives except for the rooms that are facing Policy Bazaar - Facade of the hotel. The area gets busy & extremely noisy as early as 4AM in the morning and its tough sleeping beyond that. Otherwise the hotel was neat and clean, everything nearby and accessible.

High price everything, you need to bergain for everything. Local shopkeeper are good but non locals are worst. Driver charge double price for every place.

The commercial and cultural hub of Shillong. Full of shops, restaurants, hotels, and local life. This is widely considered the central point of Shillong. But very busy area.

Location is one of the best USP for Centre Point Hotel . As placed exactly center of Police Bazzar . The name also came from there only . You come down and able to visit Police Bazaar the major market in Shilong .
