ThArk guest House - Shillong

I would urge you to be really cautious with this place. I don't quite know how it is rated so well, but my colleagues had a terrible experience and never ended up staying at the property. The manager was initially courteous but eventually ghosted us and never returned our calls or messages. Please do take a look at the location and the property before paying for the booking.

Enjoyed the stay at Ark having a quiet atmosphere with a flexible timing that is added bonus. The rooms are clean and well made by the girl staff (Aiban), very sweet of her taking care of every need like drinking water, heater and toilet articles. Not to forget to mention about Benjamin who was very helpful whenever I reached out to him. Overall it was him (Benjamin) and sister Aiban that our stay comfortable and realistic. Thank you Benjamin and Aiban.

Management was not aware of our booking which was already confirmed n paid for two days fro goibo app . there was no welcome for the guests arrived .we waited for more than 20 minutes with my heavy trolly ,. No lift facility. No staff accessible for any service ,no kitchen in the hotel for emergency of hunger. Especially for ladies. Even the service boy keep his mobile switch off . So other option no. to contact.full.of noise from outside houses till late night.

The place was good and clean. Big rooms comfortable beds The Christmas celebrations resulted in excessive noise in the corridors adjacent to our rooms until nearly 2 AM, with adults and children screaming. Despite repeated complaints, the noise continued, and we were told to adjust as it was a festive occasion. Furthermore, we were unable to enjoy the included breakfast as our departure time was between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, and breakfast was not available until 9:00 AM

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room is very quaint. But I personally liked it. The location of the guest house is very convenient, near to the marketplaces. The guest house is being managed well. It's clean and tv also has Netflix access, if that's your cup of tea. The management of the guest house are well behaved and accommodating. I had forgotten my phone in the room, and they were kind enough to let me know the same. And even held it safely, until I had it collected from them. Very thanks to Mr Benjamin Paslein, he helped us a lot with booking and with my phone. Also, the young girl at the desk, Bei yo, she helped us a lot with the rooms and was always available at one call.

Wonderful place...cozy and spacious rooms... aesthetically appealing.... Hospitality is wonderful. We are provided with 2 bed rooms, a kitchen space , toilet and a balcony...free wify is also available.. it's more than any expensive hotels.....superb experience..

Our stay at Ark Guest house was very satisfying.. The rooms are very neat and clean. Location of the property is very good as there are so many restaurants and other shops within 5 minutes. Host is very cooperative and the two service boys are also good. Though language is an issue with the two boys,they understand English,but not fully..but they tried to help us. I would just suggest to add some basic toiletries like dental kits, shampoo,tea bags,a mirror in the room etc,so that it would be 100% perfect..

I had a wonderful stay at The Ark in Shillong. The location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and a beautiful view of the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, which made the stay very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to accommodate our needs and make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast that was served was both varied and tasty, with fresh and local ingredients. Overall, our stay at The Ark was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Shillong.
