MID PINE HOME STAY

We recently stayed at Mid pine homestay and that was one of our best experiences in our whole tour. Rooms, amenities were topnotch. Most importantly the host were extremely friendly and helpful. On our 2nd day we faced a situation of running out of food on the dining table ,the girl(-----) did not think twice to offer her own dinner. Her hospitality won our hearts and we are very much thankful. Highly recommende.......

Well, what a tragedy. We had heard alot of good things about this place, so we booked it. First of all, the homestay did not tell us that the narrow road in front of the property was undergoing renovation and it was one way now! As we were self driving it was a big problem for us! Driving in Shillong as it is is a nightmare if you are a outsider. They always keep the main gate of the property locked, so every time you come and go, there's a long queue of vehicles behind you. The rooms are very nicely done, with everything in place, nothing to complain about. The only thing I want to point out is the water pressure in the toilets goes down as the day progresses and unless it is brought to the attention of the staff they do nothing. The pumps are started only around 6am. The service is not upto the mark. Very slow and every request has to be repeated multiple times. Since there's no intercom facility every time you have to call reception. The rooms are at some distance from the reception. I think the management should get more involved in the running of the homestay rather than leaving everything o the staff and should think more pragmatically like switching on the pump at odd hours too and leaving the main gate open in daytime.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Rooms and bathroom were super clean and very well maintained, the daily room cleaning by the staff was outstanding. It is located at a quiet peaceful location away from the buzz. But the location is good, 10 mins walking distance from laitumkhrah circle, from where one can get shared taxi to police bazaar for Rs. 30/person.

Our stay at Mid Pine was very pleasant and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and clean. Special mention of appreciation for the friendly staff of Mid Pine who were always willing to help with warm smiles. The owner Daffy was accessible at all times and very hospitable. We would definitely love to go back there when we visit Shillong again. I would highly recommend Mid Pine to all those looking for a home away from home when travelling to Shillong.

It was a very delightful experience. Rooms were very cozy and the view from the rooms were treat to the eyes. Well mannered staff.

I recently stayed at this homestay near Police Bazar(approx 12min drive) and had an absolutely fantastic experience. First and foremost, the cleanliness was impeccable - the rooms and common areas were spotless and well-maintained, which made the entire stay incredibly comfortable. The stay itself was very cozy, with comfortable bedding and a relaxing atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. I was also very impressed with the food - it was delicious and offered at a reasonable price, a perfect combination for any traveler. The hospitality was outstanding, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcome and taken care of. Lastly, parking was a breeze with space for both 4-wheelers and 2-wheelers, which added to the overall convenience. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay with great food and excellent service!"

We had an amazing experience with mid pine homestay. The service is very prompt and good. However the breakfast is little expensive, given the amount of food items served. Overall is nice and cozy ! Highly recommend.
