Ladybird Hotel

Location is superb. It's in the heart of city of shillong.||Staff is very helpful. My kid was sick so the kitchen staff helped us a lot(making his food, offering room service at odd hours). Special thanks to entire unit(kitchen, housekeeping, reception)||Bathroom was very specious and hot water facility was quite reliable. A blessing in cold weather. It would be nice if they keep a mopper to keep floor dry (for self dependent type of people).||Rooms are very comfy and lot of space for storage. They can keep a small size refrigerator.||Breakfast was ok. Idli could be much better (little tight). Upma and puri bhaji was good.|It could be nice if they keep fresh juice instead of canned juice.||Housekeeping staff is quite prompt and service was really nice.||Overall a good experience.|Must visit if anyone wants to stay in the heart of city.

Fantastically maintained rooms for the price, Great food and goood gooood staff. Thanks for keeping the customer first. Book them off if they are available and within your budget. Especially towards the end it's an amazing feeling after all the trek and hike to have a clean room with hot water running in the shower.

Rooms are very congested, staff hospitality is good, but there is communication gap between different sections. Eg: Shillong is hill station with low temperatures, there was no geyser in bathroom and there was no hot water in tap, I have requested Reception reg this through phone, but no one came to address the issue, later I personally went to reception and requested for the same, then someone came to address it, and staff will definitely call you if you miss the dinner, but not for breakfast. Overall it's an average experience.

Anyone go to Police Bazar by staircase behind it. |2) Excellent breakfast buffet.|3) Super clean rooms, linens, beddings.|4) Bathrooms are very good.|5) Hotel staffs are very polite & helpful.||CONS-|1) Standard rooms are slightly smaller.|2) Ala-carte food menu is costly. The Ladybird Hotel is located in the heart of the city and is convenient for shopping and eateries. The hotel rooms are great and most of the things in the hotel rooms work. It is slightly older hotel and some of the mirrors were broken and not in good shape. They have heaters as well that we can use. Hotel weirdly said you will have to pay for towels stains, which I never heard of..anyways, something new. The front desk looked fine and tried to help. The rooms are some what compact. The bathrooms do not have the shower arm, so you will need to get head wet.

Well stayed here for 5 nights. Standard room was way too small in size. Prices are pretty high. Didn't expected this size room at this high price. Rests room service was good. Neat and clean towel, bed etc. Breakfast was also good.

Location: good, near police baza but enough distance to avoid crowd Room: tiny for my category, no space to put luggage, we knew this limitation beforehand, so expected it They had a heater which was very useful. Toilet: open shower = wet toilet; Breakfast: very limited items, you get what you pay for Service: polite and helpful For a limited budget, safe and clean hotel. Room service dining was good.
