Rooms size good according to budget . Staff and service is extremely helpful and friendly .

Rooms are less spacious compared to the prices. Rooms are clean fitted with closet and WiFi (slow) available. Bathrooms are clean, hot water available with geysers. Staff behaviour polite and well behaved. Walking distance from Police Bazaar point to hotel. Restaurants available nearby.

My stay at this hotel was very comfortable as the rooms was really clean and well maintained and above all i was highly impressed by the staff who were very professional and very helpful at the same time. I am deducting one star as there is no view from this hotel. Why you ask ? The rooms had no windows. The location of the hotel is what had drawn me towards booking a room here and it was a good decision as it was in Police Bazar market due to which we had an easy access to cabs and buses.

I very rarely feel like writing a review of a terrible experience is warranted. However, Aura was just that. A terrible experience. They are in a tiny lane that is one way, so it's tough to get there with luggage. The rooms are much tinier than advertised. There is no difference in tiers of the rooms. The walls are thin. They don't have their own kitchen and when they say free breakfast, they give you two options that comes from the restaurant nearby. The bathrooms are unbelievably small and the shower knob was broken. It's extremely expensive for what it offers. Maybe, think twice before you decide to go there. The one star is because one of their staff was actually nice to us and also because it's not possible to give zero stars.

We are two families and booked two rooms in this hotel for new year's eve as we could not find any other hotel. ||1. The rooms are so small that you can't even walk comfortably.|2. The towels they provide have stains all over and if you ask for extra towel, they give you tiny napkins - the ones that are placed in the bathroom doors to wipe your feet. Stinky and disgusting.|3. The blankets have stains and when asked they said those are burned stains. Looks bad and I don't know why they still keep them.|4. They close the shutter of the hotel by 9:30 PM and you have to call them or knock on the shutters for them to open it for you if you come after 9:30 PM... and they take their own sweet time to open these shutters while you keep standing on the road in the chilly weather waiting for them to let you in. |5. No parking for vehicles and the whole area is so shady that even if you park your car on the road - there is no guarantee for your vehicle or its parts. |6. On the day of our check out there was no hot water. It was terribly cold and there was some problem with water heater. They were providing hot water in buckets for those who are still staying but since we were checking out, they never bothered about us. They did not provide hot water and they did not even feel sorry or apologise. Worst behaviour with the customers. |6. They charge you before hand for any extra things that you ask like mattress/bed etc. These items will be provided only if you pay the amount before hand. Never seen any hotel charging for these things beforehand. We have taken an extra bed and the quality of the bed is worst than a one star hotel. |7. No toiletries. They don't provide brush/paste or anything at all. |8. There are no fire safety measures or directions. God forbid something happens, there is no way to escape. ||When we raised all these concerns, they did not even bother to answer and never even felt apologetic. They simply did not care.||Overall, you will be cheated and the service they provide you for the exorbitant prices they charge is terrible. I will never recommend this hotel. There are better hotels in this area. Stay away from this place.

The hotel is in a narrow street inside police bazar with no parking place for vehicles. I brought my car and got fined from the traffic police. Service is not good and lot of the appliances like AC and it's remote etc were not working. Rooms were ok but there is no option of fooding in the hotel. Not a value for money at all. Not recommended. It's better you stay in a B&B instead of this hotel.

High price.. Rooms are not good. Not recommended..have seen hairs on bed..linens are not washed..Do visit any other hotel nearby.. Hotel Alpine nearby is good value for money at the same peice

We stayed here for a night and by our misfortune we forgot our brand new power bank. And this was exactly a month ago, when they told they will courier it to us. Even after numerous, repetitive calls and offering to cover postal charges (how much ever amount), I think we lost our item forever now. I have never seen or heard about a hotel that resolves to such petty thefts at the cost of their reputation. My only advice is if you are searching hotels in shillong please avoid this one and if you can't ,please double triple check you packed all your valuables before checking out. Bcz they will never return your item.
