A la Maison

The host and staff were quite helpful and accomodating to my needs. Especially as small request for getting a Toothpaste on Sunday. Staff Juna was very helpful and escorted us with umbrella under heavy rain till our car parking. Things to Note: Car parking is outside in lane and can be bit tricky. You can find a good spot if u each early. Breakfast: Serving only One Bread Omlette with Tea/Coffee. And no other Options. Found other Home Stays with Pan cakes and Eggs for Breakfast as a Options in Similar Price Range.

The rooms in A La Maison were clean and had most necessary items but was very compact. The room was little small for the cost paid (about 3k per night) and the service was good but slightly delayed. The host Vivi was very kind. Geyser, room heater and kettle were available. Rest rooms were very clean. Breakfast options were poori and aaloo paratha with tea/coffee. But the road to the property is narrow and is uphill , so parking space was a problem as we had to park the car away. Overall stay is good for a short stay but needs improvement space-wise and to provide good parking facility. It is a 2-2.5 kms walk to police bazaar and has food outlets 500m from the room as lunch and dinner options in the room are not available. PS : Lift is not available in the property, so may not be suitable for elders.

A La Maison is a cozy home away from home. This homestay is located in Laban, close to Police Bazaar and reasonably priced. There are 3 rooms on the first floor, so if you are a group of friends or a joint family visiting you get the whole floor with a sitting area and a lovely terrace to yourselves. It is very private and comfortable. The breakfast is different everyday and quite delicious with great coffee. Vivi is a lovely host and gives you all the privacy you need. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Vivi and staff for a memorable stay!

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking around for a stay around Shillong. As Police Bazaar is bit crowded, this is just 5 mins away and in a very peaceful place. The room has beautiful view from the balcony. The Service was great as well. Though they don't have their in-house restaurant but you can order from Trelly which we found great in terms of Chinese and Indian Dishes. Breakfast is included and tea or coffee you can order if needed. Special mention to Vivi who is the host of this place helped us in many ways. Overall a great experience at this place. Would definitely stay here in our next trip to Shillong.

Loved our stay at A La Maison. Such friendly people and wonderful accommodation. The room was very comfortable and warm and the bathroom was ever more clean and hygienic. Vivi is a friendly and knowledgeable host, and their professionalism is top notched. Made our shillong experience memorable, would definitely stay here again.

It was really an excellent stay at A La Maison. We were warmly welcomed by both of the excellent hosts ever. Every single service was executed properly. We booked a family room, cuz it was three of us. It was spacious, beds were comfy. Every appliance provided was properly working and functional, especially the geyser. One thing about the washroom, which is the most important part. It was super CLEAN. Tbh, the maison has one of the most cleanest washrooms ever. The view from the room was excellent. They also have an option of complementary breakfast which was quite decent. So to sum up, it was an amazing experience out there.. Everything was very well organised. Not many people know about this but it's really underrated. Do give a visit. :) P.S. : there is a problem of loadshedding here in this city, but they do have an inverter for backup.

I stayed around 4 nights at this property in the month of Oct 2021, and must say amongst the cleanest and a very homely stay in Shillong. The rooms are very cozy and the host Vivi is a very courteous and passionate person who is very proud of her roots. The rooms are very aesthetically done with good quality bed/mattress, bathroom fixtures etc. Vivi was very helpful with any queries I had, be it suggestions on places to visit, or how to get there or where to buy stuff from. She had it all covered. The location of the place is easily accessible from main Police bazaar area. I shared cab can be found at just 30meters from the room and the cab charge around Rs30/ to get to police bazaar. In all takes around 15mins from room to Police Bazaar area.

Compact room with all amenities provided. The host is very helpful and can help you with arranging cab for travelling. Food option is limited, but you can order using Swiggy or nearby restaurant-Trelly. Overall a good experience.
