The Nongstoin Kitchen

I recently stayed at The Nongstoin Kitchen, and it was one of the most pleasant and memorable stays I've had in Meghalaya. From clean rooms to warm hospitality, everything about this place left a positive impression. The hotel is well-managed and sits at a convenient location near the main market, making it easy to explore the town or pick up essentials. The rooms are neat, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all basic amenities in place. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, and it shows. One of my favorite parts of the property is the in-house restaurant. It has a warm, inviting vibe with a special corner filled with drums and other musical instruments, which adds a unique charm to the space. The food served is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying--perfect after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. But what truly sets this place apart is the owner, Mr. Bok. He is not just a host but a genuinely kind human being who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was smooth and comfortable. From local tips to personal check-ins, his hospitality was heartfelt and sincere. It's rare to come across such attentive care in today's fast-paced travel world. If you're planning a trip to Nongstoin, I highly recommend The Nongstoin Kitchen. Whether it's a short stopover or a longer stay, this place offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and truly exceptional service.

The staff if very helpful. The food was okay. The hotel is very easy to find, it's right in the city. Just that the rooms and bathroom need a bit more maintainance.

We stayed at this place for a week and it was very homely, comfortable and memorable stay. Rooms are very spacious and have shelfs, closets to put cloths and other things easily to settle in. All the rooms have good lighting. The owners family who basically takes care of the property is very professional and friendly that you feel at home. Kitchen was our favorite place to chill during lunch and dinner. Food here is super good. Their cold coffee is just delicious! And I never liked chow in my life but egg chow here made me fall in love with chow. I would like to stay here whenever I come again and would definitely recommend to others. Bok was super helpful, during Sunday's also he helped us get the food when everything in the town is closed. He was always there for us. One of the kindest and great host! The host Bok is one of the best host. The homestay is clean and very welcoming with a lot of space. The terrace is accessible and very calming. There is river that you can see from the balcony. The river is not that clean but vibe is A1. Must stay place for anyone who is visiting Nongstoin.

We halted here for a night when we explored West Khasi Hills. Cosy place right there in the market area, rooms are clean with clean linen. Washroom is also clean with geyser facility. There is scope for improvement though, like adding extra amenities in the rooms.

Clean rooms and very great hospitality at the homestay, plus the food was very tasty and amazing atmosphere with live music. Would recommend anyone who are planning to spend the night in Nongstoin town.

I stayed at their homestay for 2 nights. I recommend this place to anyone who is planning for a stay in Nongstoin only due to the exceptional hospitality shown by Bok. He helped out when there was a tyre issue in the vehicle and also provided food. This was a huge help Not only did Bok helped during the time of need he also gave his company. He suggested some local attractions and also other places to visit. I highly suggest this place only due to treatment provided by him. Hoping to come to Nongstoin again!
