Rolyda Guest house

A decent calm place away from heavy traffic of Shillong (2km away from police bazaar)... Rooms are well maintained and we had a comfortable stay with 2 queen beds for a family of 4. Affirming is a person who's always smiling and welcoming, ready to help his guests with his perfect punctuality (breakfast was ready and served to room on time!). Overall good

Rolyda guest house has a very homely experience. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The only catch is that it is about 15 minutes away from the police bazaar which is the main market in Shillong. The staff are helpful. They should reconsider including the breakfast option. Just a couple of options and the breakfast would not be ready until 8.30. There was a kitchen for the rooms we booked which we weren't aware of beforehand and we were not provided any utensils even to boli milk and make some Tea.

It is a quite and peaceful place, i came there just for a refreshment stay for a night and rolyda bed room give me a deeply and peaceful sleep. The owner is kindly, the maneger of Rolyda guest house is so helpful and a work hard person , he is the maneger but i saw him that he does all the works. The parking is unique. Very comfortable stay for me. The room which were provided to me was very small but it was very clean. There was everything necessary in the room and bathroom. Staff were very very friendly and helpful. If you're booking online please contact the guest house 1st because in my case i expected a better room because i cancelled a 3 star hotel booking for this guest house but it was unfortunate that i ended up having a smaller room. But there are few very very good, spacious and cleaner rooms in the guest house. Recommended for the people who are going with family or friends. I Will visit again.

Brilliant value stay - our flight was cancelled so we extended by one night. Exactly what you want from a guest house - CLEAN (so clean), lovely white linen, a heater (needed for those winter nights), hot water 24/7, coffee can be ordered to the room for the morning. On top of that, the family that run the guest house are just so SO lovely, and the location is just very slightly out of the centre which is fantastic because Shillong traffic is intense!

I booked this guest house through Agoda which showed my room had mountain view. But the room given to me had no view at all. I requested the staff for changing the room. They provided a bigger family room with Mountain view with extra charges promptly. Smaller rooms does not have TV. Breakfast options are limited especially for vegetarians. Rooms are clean and hygienic. Staff is cooperative and humble.

We booked the guesthouse for the Ed Sheeran concert and it was only 7 minutes away from the venue. The staff were really very polite and helpful. There is enough parking space. Also, the rooms were neat and tidy. Had a great time here.
