MTDC, Rastrakut Holiday Resort, Ellora

Review of MTDC Rashtrakuta Ellora (3rd-4th March 2025) * Location: * Perfectly situated just 100 meters from the Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and 500m distance from Grishneshwar Mahadev Temple another archaelogical site. Nearby at around 5km Bhadra Maruti Temple. * Easy walking distance to the caves, making it super convenient for sightseeing. * Property Highlights: * Excellent location with a brand-new feel (only a few months old). * Spacious and comfortable rooms. * Ample parking space available. * Food: * Limited menu, but the food is delicious and well-prepared. * Local chef excels at creating tasty dishes. * Very reasonable pricing for all food items. * Mineral water sold at MRP, which is a nice touch. * Staff: * Cooperative and friendly team. * Proactive in resolving major issues (e.g., room changes when needed). * Cons: * Room maintenance needs improvement. * Issues with faulty taps and leakages in both rooms assigned. * Had to switch rooms due to these problems, which was inconvenient. * Overall Impression: * A great option for its proximity to Ellora Caves and value for money, but maintenance hiccups slightly dampen the experience.

Beautiful location and huge rooms. They also have mini fridges inside their rooms. Luxury in a budget. The rooms have direct view towards the Ellora range. The food is also really good. Kudos to the cooking team! Their Maharashtrian non veg thali is

We stayed there with family and really enjoyed our stay. It is from walkable distance from Ellora caves. It's located near hill so you get a scenic view. Food was really nice and staff was very helpful. This just 6 months old property so everything was new(some stuff was not working like WiFi etc) but I am sure it will improve with time. I will recommend this if you want to visit Ellora caves.

The rooms are spacious, clean and cozy. The receptionist Ashwini was very helpful and gave good information about the locations nearby and the timings. The resort is near the parking lot of the ellora caves, the location however is a bit secluded and feels scary to go out in the night as there are no lights on the road. The resort have 24x7 security though. Overall a good experience.

Newly opened in 2024 runned by maharashtra government Constructed very well at very secluded location right beside the parking of ellora caves And 5 mins drive for Grushneshwar Jyotirling temple. Loved the rooms-very spacious new furniture modern amenities inclusive TV AC and mini fridge. Having scenic view from balcony. Very clean and Hygenic washroom Provide toileteries. The lounge is very huge for groups to chill. The hotel having 2 floors Have around 30 rooms.. ac and non ac At a very affordable rate and very 5star service. Overall a highly recommended stay in budget with all amenities. Also breakfast is included in their terrif. The staff reminds you for breakfast and also they are very polite. MAHARASHTRA GOVRNMENT TOURISM DEPARTMENT, we expect more high standard hotels with amenties and in budget like this one..!

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the food is great. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. However, I did have some difficulty finding the hotel, and there are no street lights along the way, which made the approach a bit tricky. Despite these minor issues, the staff was friendly and helpful, and overall, it's a good property for family stays.

The worst hotel ever. Complementary breakfast consists poha, worst ulama or puri bhaji. The kitchen is messy, unclean and takes 40 to 45 minutes to serve food ordered for paid menu, and that too incomplete. The food taste is good but the way it's served, cold, untimely is not expected with charge of Rs 2000 per night. The rooms are not cleaned properly, The tap is leaking continuous and no one cares. Floor mat is not changed but kept upside down. Avoided giving free water by staff and only after inquiry. They started giving it. Don't give proper invoice for food charges, it's handwritten, without any stamp, but doesn't forget to charge 5% GST on food as well as water bottle, when asked proper invoice, they gave excuse as printer isn't working, and started laughing as if there is some sort of joke. No room service available. It's worst MTadC property ever, though opened 2 months back itself. Suggest to avoid it.

This is a new property of MTDC. Basic facilities like RO water are not yet being provided. Approach road is also not good. But the rooms are really nice and view is also good. Overall a good stay.
