The hotel as the name suggests is surrounded by beautiful art and nature. Every room introduces us to a unique Indian traditional artwork handmade in the most authentic way. It's very peaceful, clean and calm. Came here with my baby who enjoyed among the pet animals on the farm, garden and pool. The evenings especially are lit beautifully!

It was an amazing experience with the resort. Food was tasty and service was too good. Staff was soft spoken and very helpful I love the pool experience too. Rooms as well maintained and beautiful. I would definitely visit again
A truly exquisite place. must visit place with family. Food is simple yet tasty. Every inch of the farm speaks inquisitivly of the Indian art forms. Would love to come back here anytime with my family. No alcohol available but you can bring your own booze and enjoy here.
We had gone there to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had paid a lot of money (more than 10,000 per day) and separate charges for breakfast as well. We were hoping for a resort that would make for a memorable stay for our special occasion and we were very excited based on the photos provided on their website and on other hotel booking websites, but this could not be further from the reality. The property is tiny and is located in a very shady location. The reception room is like a 5 x 6 tiny servant room. The garden is absolutely not maintained and in poor shape and too small for even a one minute stroll in the morning (see the photos below). The room is decent, but not at all worth the price we paid for it. The bathroom was absolutely terrible. They had provided a bucket to use for bathing and you can check out the toilet seats in the photos, even the towels that they gave us were smelling, and we had to use our own towels that we brought. There were no toothpaste and toothbrush provided, anything you would take for granted in a five star property is not here. There was no view from the balcony, we were just facing a tree. I could go on about all the problems with this place, but I would you can have a look in the pictures and they tell the complete story. My problem with this place is not that it's unliveable, but the fact that they are charging way above what their property is worth and their photos are heavily edited on the website and so you are tricked into believing it is like a five star, but you end up living in a one star. If you are considering this property, do visit the property and book it on the spot as I'm sure you will rather live anywhere else for the price that they will ask of you. The food was decent and the staff was also mostly courteous, but these were the only good things about the place.
Very misleading property. Almost a kilometer away from main road. The connecting road isn't there. You almost take your car through rocky barely existing pathway. Food is really bad. Bed is so hard. And washrooms are really old constructed. At night, it scares you like anything to reach the property. Won't recommend to anyone.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kalangan Homestay, and it was an experience we won't forget. From the moment we stepped in, it was evident how much care and attention to detail had gone into every corner of the property. The homestay was impeccably decorated, with no weak points. Everything was so well-maintained and clean. IT inspired us to redesign our own home! The staff were quite friendly and always ready to help. The owner, in particular, stood out for his hands-on approach to hosting and management, which really made a difference in the overall experience. The outdoor ambiance was another highlight. The pool was spotless, the game area was thoughtfully designed, and the birdcage added a charming touch to the surroundings. It was a peaceful and beautiful space to unwind. Safety was clearly a priority here, and it was reassuring to know that the homestay took extra steps to ensure our comfort and security. Another perk was the location - Kalangan is fairly close to some of the best spots to visit in Alibaug, making it convenient for sightseeing. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the food. The restaurant served some of the best tasting food we've ever tasted, and THE CHEF DESERVES SPECIAL MENTION- we literally have no words to describe how incredible the meals were. Hats off to him! All in all, Kalangan Homestay is a gem, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-managed, and unforgettable stay.
The place is clean and beautiful. The staff is polite and respectful too. But I went there with a lot of expectations when I paid a premium price. The price is almost equivalent to a 4-to-5 star hotel. Please note that they do not give room service. This means that no food is served in the room, not even chai. Furthermore, the breakfast lacks variety and the food is average too. North Indian food tastes better than the local sea food of Konkan/Alibaug. This place is quite artsy, but there's a lot that they could have done to let the guests have that "art and farm" experience. For example - keep sketch pens, paintbrushes and colours and let them colour some canvases, diyas, earthern pots etc. Also, their iconic waterfall in the pool, that people have spoken about in their reviews, was not even working throughout my stay. I would say that the resort is good, but not for the price they charge. I've been to better resorts with almost the same facilities and price, but at least offer unlimited seafood thalis. Also, it's neither close to the sea nor the market nor the so called "nature". I would request the owners to take this review seriously -- there's a lot more they can do.
Stayed for one night -group of 12 people including senior citizens and kids. The property is well maintained , has a good decor and is clean. This is a perfect place for family and couples. 45 minutes drive from Mandwa jetty. Last one km drive is on internal small road but with signages. The room is moderately spacious , bathroom super spacious with good toiletries. Air conditioning and bed cushions perfect. No mosquito menace was observed. Small play area for kids with slide and swing. TT table , chess , carrom, badminton rackets available. Cozy but clean Swimming pool The highlight of the stay was food -awesome Poha , masala omelette , masala tea was amazing. Fish and crab dishes were super delicious. The staff is humble , courteous and hospitable .The service is outstanding. Perfect greenery in the centre of the property with different variety of flower plants and fruits (Mango , custard apples, chikoo) Thanks to Roshan , Manoj and Chef Rajiv for great food , service and hospitality.
