If you want peaceful quite surrounding and less crowded place, this is your destination. Instead of going to expensive hotels for tasteless food try the homemade local food which is very delicious. During my stay, I tried both veg and non-veg, and it was way better than the food I tried in local hotels over there. If you want to experience the typical "gaav" like stay, must try this homestay. The beach is on walkable distance and it's beautiful and quiet. Other attractions are at minimal distance from the homestay. Even though you need not to be connected to the digital world, you still get the good network and internet connectivity in this area (even the Airtel too). The place is situated on top of a hill which is around half an hours distance from Ratnagiri station. Rickshaws charge around Rs.400/- to reach there. It's an old village type house. The rooms are small and there are lots of mosquitoes. The fare charged per day for the room is Rs.1500/- which I felt was high. Meals are charged at Rs.300/- which is fine. Place is clean. However, one can get better rooms at this price. There is no public transport and one has to take the local bus from the Bus Stop to reach the City which is again at a distance of half an hour from this village. If one wishes to explore a village you can visit here. However there is better accomodation elsewhere if you look for it.

Absolutely loved our stay here, so fortunate to have found it at the last moment! (It's nearly impossible to secure without pre-booking during peak season. This is a true gem, and Swapnaja is an amazing host who makes you feel like you're visiting family. Peaceful village vibes, delicious homemade food, and the highlight, a trek to an untouched beach that only Swapnaja can guide you to. Without her, most tourists would never discover it. Truly the best spot in Ratnagiri! She even arranged a rental bike for us through Kunal, another wonderful person who added so much to our trip. Skip the lavish stays and choose this, you won't regret it!

Probably the Best Homestay in Ratnagiri. We booked it for 2 Days, It's in a remote Village away from main city but not too far, just in the right spot. This homestay at Sadamirya village is very special. We stayed for 2 days and have felt home. Though 5 km away from the city, this location is away from the busy streets but is amidst Mango farms and huge landscape of backwaters along side it. A bit of off roading and there are remote beaches around this village too.The homestay is a blend of traditional Konkan architecture and modern amenities. The host Swapnaja ji has been very kind and supportive. She was suggesting us on local cuisine and culture, locations to explore and was guiding us throughout. She can arrange food too but with prior intimation. I'm falling short of words to explain my experience there, but I can simply conclude that this is the go to homestay for every traveller visiting Ratnagiri.
