Hotel New Konkan

Best place for stay, if you are travelling with your family then definitely go for it, this stay feels like home away from home. This stay is covered with beautiful plants and beautiful views. And property is budgeted too. Staff and hotel owner is very cooperative and friendly too.

This place is just amazing with a great view, friendly staff, safe parking and very close to the petrol pump, shops. The room prices are also reasonable and the receptionist is also friendly and polite.

This is a beautiful property located about 3 km outside of ratnagiri on the ganpatipule highway. The rooms are spacious and clean and the toilet was also extremely clean and exceeded our expectations. It's located on extremely scenic land with direct view of the sea. Food is not served here tho so you'll have to eat out. It's also extremely cheap considering the quality of rooms you get.

Worth visiting place. Manager, owner and all other members were so polite and helpful. Home-cooked seafood was extremely delicious. Totally worth of money especially because their soft-hearted behaviour. We felt very special like hotel-cum-home, and as if we're visiting our own native place. Ambience and overall open surrounding with Seaview was amazing, also big open windows of room.

My greatest hotel experience in India so far. The level of service and hospitality is absolutely fantastic. The food is very good as well. The panoramic view over mangrove forest and ocean is addictive. I'd love to come back and stay for longer.

After having spent six figures for a nature resort on my last vacation and putting up five figures for the next one in Goa, was looking for something in the four digit range for a mid-way stop between Mumbai and Goa as an overnight halt. Picked a homestay in Ratnagiri though I had to drive in an extra half hour from the main NH66. And Hotel New Konkan was the apt choice. ||It is not very hard to find as they do have a large board up. But it is not near the sea as one may think. You drive up a slope to the parking area between two structures. The main upper one is where the owner / family lives while the structure lower to the parking has the rooms. Though I booked a 4 person stay as default on agoda, they still gave me the better option and the spare room was left unused. ||The caretaker or incharge Mr. Yeshwant was very accommodating. Was able to get me what I requested at nominal charge. The dinner was quite homely with seafood as the main course made in Konkan style. They kept serving till I was satiated. There were a couple of cats and dogs around which added to the homely ambience. ||Mr. Yeshwant was right that I would not need an air conditioned room as the one I got was quite cool with a good breeze. The windows were tinted to reduce the setting sun's glare. Awoke the next morning and departed having spent not more than 3K in all. A pleasant stay overall. Highly recommended for those looking at a value for money stay over enroute to Goa.

Straightforward and honest folks but basic and simple accommodation, can see the sea at a distance, on Ratnagiri to Ganapatipule coastal inside road, bit away from the city but road side so not completely peaceful, but good place for stop overs. The lady running the kitchen is a good host.

Highly recommend.. Just love it .. hotel is very nice .same as shown in pics..room was very neat n clean and well arranged .. view from room and top roof of hotel was very beautiful . Service was very good. Owner is very sweet . Food was also nice , simple and homemade.. Really love the place and hotel
