Super Townhouse Oak Prabhat Road formerly Hotel Royalty

I recently stayed at this vintage-style hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The classic charm of the place is well-maintained, giving it an old but elegant feel. The bathtub, AC, bed--everything was comfortable and added to the overall experience. The food was excellent, with a variety of delicious options that made dining a delight. While the rooftop cafe was not operational, the restaurant had a great view, making up for it. Security was top-notch, making the stay feel safe and hassle-free. However, the TV could use an upgrade to match the overall quality of the hotel. Overall, if you appreciate vintage aesthetics and great food, this hotel is a great choice!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. Likes: - My room was in the back corner of the building. It was much quieter than in the road-facing rooms. The room has high ceilings and two large windows with mosquito nets. - The furniture in the room was well designed and built. - The front desk staff was friendly and gave me an opportunity to pay part of my balance later (rather than on check-in), as the local ATMs usually limit withdrawals to 10,000 INR. - The room cleaning person did a great job in timely fashion. - The hotel is fairly quiet. - The room had a private bathroom with a hot shower. - The AC was pretty good. - There are several good restaurants nearby. Dislikes: - The hotel does not accept credit cards for payments, and its management company, Oyo, seems to accept only Indian credit cards. As such this created a lot of stress on the check-in, when I had to run around to find ATMs where I can withdraw enough cash to pay for my stay. - The room listings on Booking dot com incorrectly state that the rooms have kitchens. This is utterly misleading but neither the hotel nor Oyo seem to do any anything about it. - Oyo guest support service was useless when I tried multiples times to call them in order to pay for my stay with a credit card. - Oyo kept harassing me with text messages asking to pre-pay for my stay, threatening to cancel my reservation, even though the room listing on Booking dot com clearly and explicitly stated that no prepayment is necessary and that I can cancel the reservation any time without a penalty. - My room had no closet hangers, and the hotel staff provided only 5 when I requested. Further requests for additional hangers were quietly ignored. - The shower faucet was leaking from day 1, and the leak became only bigger with time, making a lot of noise. When I asked it to be fixed, the hotel staff offered me to move into a different room, rather than bring a plumber. - The hotel management seems to care little about the property and the experience of the guests. Simple examples: While the furniture in the hotel appears well made, it (particularly soft furniture) needs urgent refreshment. The phone and several power outlets in my room were out of order. The printer at the front desk is out of toner and one can barely see what it prints. - Hotels in India are supposed to provide C-forms for foreign guests. When my event requested such a form, I've asked the hotel staff the same day. It took the hotel manager more than 10 days to provide me with the form. Meanwhile, the front desk staff kept promising to give me the form "tomorrow". - The WiFi connectivity was all over the place. Sometimes it was good enough for a video call. And, sometimes it didn't work or was very slow. Overall, the hotel is reasonable and fairly quiet, if the room is in the back of the building. If the system allowed, I'd give 3.5 stars to this hotel. Still, I'd try to find different options if I were to stay in the area again.

Great place, value for money, good and helpful staff. We have enjoyed this place due to is proximity to FC road and Karve road as well as its safety aspect. The building is opp to Prabhat road police chowkey. Definitely can consider for your stay in Pune

We booked this hotel for 3 days and 3 nights. Half paid online and other half paid on the venue. We were travelling with a 8 month old baby and it was our first time to Pune. We got checked in and settled in the room. The room was pretty okay with a nice view. Within few hours we got the call from the reception saying "There's some issue with the property so we are getting shifted to some other hotel tomorrow morning". My husband asked them for arranging and paying for the cab since the inconvenience is from the hotel part and we fully paid for the room we liked. The manager told "ho jayega sir, cab arrange karungi. Aap pack karke neeche aayiye". We repacked everything with our 8 month old and went downstairs and the manager told "cab aap arrange keejiye. Doosara hotel cab fare refund karega". I asked him again and again "will they believe us?" He said "yes yes! We sent all your details". And ofc the second hotel receptionist said "hum kaise refund karega madam? Ye tho unka problem hai". So we did not get the cab refund and the room we got later was worse. The toilet seat was unscrewed and fell down multiple times! I won't recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially if you are travelling as a family. And they won't even have the audacity to apologise for the inconvenience they did! They can easily scam you if you are not a native. And they barely speaks English. Even if you speak Hindi, scamming is easily done!

The worst staff ever I have seen, booked a delux room through Agoda with prior confirmation with the property saying that Early check in is possible at 7 AM, still on the day if checkin the staff talks rudely saying that "room is not available please go away and ask Agoda for the room." This is intolerable and very rude behavior of the satff. Booked the room on 7th Jan 2025

SCAM ALERT!! Fraud Hotel Booked this property for a family function.On arrival found no-one at reception (9.30am) Finally the genius arrives to inform me that the booking which is already confirmed by my name and for which I have paid through OYO (Their reservation line) will only be confirmed subject to availability and I will have to wait for 2 hours.Incase not available OYO will refund the amount!! Meanwhile OYO team trying to figure this out too .but all in vain.. Staff here is disrespectful..I was told..you are in Pune and that's how it is here.. Please don't waste your time .My biggest mistake was I didn't read the reviews

No one should book this hotel...very rude behavior by management.....very very poor hospitality.....just to make more money today they not gave room to Aged person of 75 year.....Very worst management by booking. Com it is not good to book hotels by booking. Com they both are making money by canceling and Changing room

After the first day of the stay, they told us that there is some issue with property and that everyone is being moved to another property... Other property was not great and different location than where we wanted to be. Also, it felt like they were over booked and wanted to move us out to accommodate new guests.. it did not seem like everyone were moved but only few of us.
