Deccan 8 Hotel

Checked in at the hotel during the evening and the checkout time wasn't informed to us by the receptionist. We had our stay in the room and it was not upto the mark. We remained in the room post 2 AM just to sleep basically so we didn't want to leave the room and call anyone up because we were all females. Our room was #304 The bathroom area was fully shabby with shoddy work done. First thing we noticed that the duvet cover was stained. Their walls had mold over it in the bathroom and the wallpapers in the room were peeling off. The dustbins were not proper where there was no lid on it. The jetspray had water leaking from the handle while using it and created a big mess. Moreover, to call the reception their telephone was dead so they called me on my phone number to tell me that I have not checked out on time. We missed the timing for breakfast as well. When we checked out and were complaining about the terrible room service for us guests they were offering us complimentary breakfast of tea/coffee with either a sandwich or poha and said they will discount our next stay when we visit them again in the future, as if we will come back to stay again over here after their crappy service. We got no discounts when we were booking a room to stay at the start and two of our male friends had booked another room where they didn't even end up staying in there because they were caught up outside due to an emergency, their room was basically untouched.

Pathetic rooms for the price charged. Not great on the service either. Rooms do not come with complementary tea/ coffee that one would expect from the price charged. Very convenient location, though, close to Kamla Nehru Park and many lively places around to hang out.

I would recommend to simply not choose this hotel and waste your money. There are some great hotels in that very vicinity but pls don't choose this. Firstly, the receptionist was talking as if he is doing a favour giving me a room, even after paying. Secondly, the service- even things like towles and soaps weren't in the room for which I had to call the receptionist once again. Thirdly, the price. This hotel is surely charging a premium as when compared to other hotels in the area and the price is simply not justified. I still remember the way the hotel staff treated me, it was pathetic. The very basic principle in the hospitality sector is politeness which the hotel management needs to incorporate.

Rooms are not clean, the bed is terrible, sheets are torn. The smell in and around the rooms is pretty bad. Toilets and bathtubs are super dirty and have stains. Would not want to stay here ever again. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel.

Worst hotel in 3 star segment . Oyo's are better in lower price range. I suggest not to book in this hotel . Bathtubs are broken, beds are joint together to make king or queen size bed . Such a worst experience.

The hotel staff is very polite. Good room within a budget
