Avanti Kalagram (Hill Top Resort Near Pune)

The stay was lovely. The resort has a pleasant vibe. Since it is on a hill, we do have to be careful while exploring it. The location is good with amazing views. Container rooms are a little small but comfortable. Bathroom/Toilet cleanliness could be better. Food was great and felt homely. The cooking area was hygenic. The pottery and Bamboo art Workshops were definitely unique and engaging. The stay would be more fun if the bottle art also included hands-on sessions for the guests. The indoor games area is equipped with many games but the cleanliness can be improved here as well. The swimming pool didn't leave a good first impression since the water didn't feel pristine. Overall, a great place if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Best food ever eaten. Giving 4 stars for the room because the extra pillows are very hard, but when we asked them they gave soft pillows. Also couldn't use the swimming pool since it was not clean and beetles, frog were swimming in it. But still it deserves 5 star. Food was excellent and beyond world in class quality, taste and quantity. I would like to visit every alternative month

I went to Avanti Kalagram for a day trip, really looking forward to a relaxing and creative experience -- but honestly, it was quite disappointing. The only things I genuinely enjoyed were the food and the short art activities and karaoke. Even the food, though it tasted good at first, didn't sit well later. It felt like there was too much soda or some rising agent in it, which left everyone feeling bloated and uncomfortable for the rest of the day. The place overall felt very neglected. More than half of it looked abandoned. The toilets weren't clean, the shower rooms were dusty, and the indoor games area seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I even saw a rat running around -- definitely not something you want to see on a day out. What really bothered me was the water tank in the indoor games area, which had ants crawling all over it. It made me question whether the drinking water was even safe. The only area which was properly cleaned was the kitchen canteen. Safety-wise, there were serious issues. The staircase leading down to the swimming pool area was unstable, and there was no proper path or road to get there -- which felt risky. Even the metal steps inside the pool were wobbly and unsafe. The pool itself was dirty, with bugs, debris, and even a frog swimming around. There were also exposed electrical wires hanging around, which posed a major safety hazard. It's a shame because the idea behind Avanti Kalagram is nice -- a creative space surrounded by nature sounds great in theory. But with the current state of the place, poor maintenance, hygiene issues, and safety concerns, it's not something I'd recommend unless things are seriously improved!!

We had booked deluxe room and a container room. Both rooms were good, clean and well equipped. Only thing is there was no TV in the container room despite being costlier than deluxe room. Our container room was also equipped with a refrigerator but wasnt working. They do have a DG backup but incase you hear the DG running in case of power cut but you still dont have electricity in your room, you will need to call the reception and inform. A bit of inconvenience i experienced. Food was good and tasty. There was good amount of dishes in veg section and for non veg folks there was chicken rassa and chicken sukka in addition to the veg dishes. Please note, there is no Ala carte menu. If you need anything outside the buffet menu, you need to order 4hours in advance. They offer good number of activities like indoor games (carrom, fooseball, table tennis), pottery, bamboo craft making and glass bottle decoration. Glass bottle decoration is something that their staff demonstrates and you cannot do it on your own. More like view only mode. Pottery, a very patient and skilled lady makes your desired shape in clay (cup, plate, bowl, etc) and you are allowed to get your hands dirty. She will allow you to participate in the activity but she does the major work which is understood. Bamboo craft, another skilled lady shows you how to make a flower using bamboo strips. You can make your own flower as she demoes. Overall a good experience with the activities. The view from the place is good post sunset. One can go here to chill and relax.

I visited this place as part of our company's team outing. I didn't find the place interesting. The place doesn't have any seating hall other than semi-open dining area. Food I felt unhygienic with limited options. I found myself struggling to decide my cuisine. The maintenance is not good. There is no proper ground to play any games. My new experience was to make bamboo art and pottery. I was charged 1100/- for veg. I didn't feel it was worth it anywhere for the resources I received.

Ecxleent resort. New of a type as there is art and craft village. Beautiful landscape and very good swimming pool. Top class rooms and tents. Staying in tents and looking over the landscape is worth doing.

Two times in a row and a really amazing experience.. this is a hidden gem in Pune. If u really want to visit a quiet and gateway place this is it. Well everything is a must mention. The service was 10/10, the food atmosphere was beyond words. We went for a weekend gateway with family and enjoyed each and everything. They have the best food, pottery, indoor games, outdoor space for sports, a clean swimming pool and scenic views with large bedrooms and dormitories. But I'd recommend going with a big group as u can enjoy everything thoroughly. Although I couldn't take much pictures but the experience is something I'd never forget. Complete waste of money. Starting from the approach road it's totally broken and one feels that he is going to a haunted place.. very untidy rooms with broken furniture and dirty bathrooms.. there isn't any network so imagine what you gonna do during the stay.. the kitchen is also very dirty and unorganised .. quality of food is just pathetic... and lastly the cost of the room is out of the roof compared to substandard facilities.. go at your own risk...
