Viola Beacon Resort, Lonavala

Viola Beacon Resort in Lonavala offers spacious, well-equipped rooms with scenic views. The restaurant serves a decent mix of Indian and continental food. Facilities include pools, indoor games, and a kids' play area. While staff is polite, service can be slow, and the kids' play area could be cleaner. Still, it's a pleasant, family-friendly stay close to popular spots.

The resort is not recommended for families to stay. The pool size is small compared to shown in the image. The buffet had no starters and main course items were also limited and quality was inadequate. So we decided to order from the menu. They took 1.5 hours to serve lunch. The service was so poor that we were not getting water after multiple requests. For dinner they refused to serve the order (because again we ordered from the menu) and they forced us to take dinner in the room only. We were celebrating our anniversary, however they refused to provide a table for cake cutting. It cost 7500 for one family for one day stay including food, but the service was pathetic.

The room had mountains view. We had booked two rooms and they gave us interconnected rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is small in height but has many rooms across two floors. Morning breakfast was complementary but below average. Room service was not so good...but after a number of requests from our side they attended to each of our requests. In amenities they had a play area for kids and adults, a swimming pool and a small sized garden. We had ordered tur dal in room, it was really bad. Room was neat and clean, and good size. Overall a budget hotel with great room size and view.

I visited this resort with my Family in April 2025. The check in time was 2 pm however upon our request the staff allowed early check in. This is very good. Also the food and the service was excellent, the staff were very cooperative. The resort offers everything one needs for a good stay, pool, playzone for kids. I would definitely recommend this resort. Just to add : For my muslim brothers there's also a mosque near at 2 min walking.

Everything very nice, food quality, staff behaviour, room service, location, cleaning all are very high quality. If will go again then definitely we will stay here. Need only some improvement in game zone area and also try to provide one small freeze in each room.

Its a new property by The fern..property is good. Rooms are good. We faced few maintenance issues like Ac leakage , litter inside the room, non functional exhaust fan, washroom door lock problems, stinky kettle kept for tea coffee making etc, inspite of all these still giving 3 stars is only because of the quick service and resolutions we got. Staff was courteous enough to make necessary rectifications. |Food quality was decent. Good breakfast spread. |Another problem is that They do not have king sized beds, they join 2 single beds and the mattresses are so lightweight that they keep on slipping . We had to really fix it ourselves with towels nd all.|The walls of the rooms are not noise resistant. we can actually get to hear too much noise from the adjacent room, so u should be lucky to have a less noisy guests next to you.|The entire staff including manager take good care of you. Impressed with the hospitality, they fixed everything after the complaints. However they must check all these aspects before handing over the room.

Overall experience was unsatisfactory. The ambience is good .Food is some how good. Trained lifeguard is required near swimming pool.House keeping staff is required professional training & etiquette. The room I stayed in ( room no. 115) lacked basic necessities like soap and shampoo dispenser etc plus the bedsheets were torn. Also this was the first time in my life when welcome drink was "self-served'. The negative reviews by other guests are completely true. Make your choice wisely. Highly regret my stay here.
