Sunrise Hill Resort Khandala Lonavala

Our welcome at the reception was ice-cold as no one smiled and no one even offered water after our road journey- slow check-in,: we reached exactly on time but rooms weren't ready. When the 2 rooms were allotted (we were 4 family members with a toddler) it was on different floors which was very inconvenient. However, one of the senior receptionist proved to be helpful throughout with arranging driver and some fake police asking for money issues. Rooms were sufficiently large and comfortable but linen were not exactly clean. The property condition is not well-maintained - children park area is rusted, floors and pantry areas are dirty, there were cockroaches in the bathroom, exhaust fan was not working, drinking water in their jugs taste bad so we bought bottled water. I really liked the food and the evening tea, morning coffee was terribly pale. I had ordered morning tea in the room but they did not deliver stating its included in the breakfast which is part of our package. But when I went down to their dining area, there was no tea only pale light coffee which I had complained with the gentleman at the reception who said sorry. Single elevator was malfunctioning sometimes and mostly busy so I had to climb 2-3 floors up using stairs which was a pain. I would avoid this property next time considering the price vs service standards.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sunrise Hill Resort in Khandala, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The resort's location is simply breathtaking, offering stunning views of the khandala lake and surrounding hills. The peaceful ambiance made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room had everything we needed, the resort's amenities were good. The pool area was clean and inviting, and the in-house restaurant served delicious food with a wide range of options, catering to all tastes. The staff was always attentive and ensured that our stay was comfortable and stress-free. In conclusion, our stay at Sunrise Hill Resort was truly memorable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat in Khandala. I can't wait to return! I recently stayed in a Deluxe room, expecting a more upscale experience. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The room looked no different than a standard one, which felt misleading given the extra charge. Even worse, I encountered small cockroaches around the room, which was really off-putting. The bed linens also had visible stains, which made the room feel unclean. On a positive note, the food quality was good, and the location was convenient. However, the cleanliness and misleading room quality overshadowed the experience. Not worth the upgrade in my opinion.

I recently stayed at Sunrise Hill Resort and had a truly horrific experience. The hotel staff, despite their supposed experience, were incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. The room service was abysmal, and the rooms themselves were in a deplorable state. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a room teeming with cockroaches. I mean, thousands of them. It was utterly disgusting. The room was filthy, the flush didn't work, and there were no basic amenities like hand wash, a geyser, or drinking water. To make matters worse, the service was equally appalling. When I requested hot water to drink, it took the staff over 30 minutes to deliver it, and no one even bothered to respond to my inquiries. The bed sheets were dirty and had a foul odor, and the furniture looked as if it had been soaked in water for decades. The hotel's disregard for its guests was evident in their treatment of us. We were only 10 minutes late, and the staff began banging on our door to demand that we leave. The food was passable, but the rooms, bathrooms, and service were absolutely dreadful. The only redeeming factor was the view, but even that was marred by the hotel's neglect. Given the terrible experience I had, I believe the hotel should be shut down. I am demanding a full refund and would strongly advise others to avoid this establishment at all costs.

This got to be the worst hotel to stay in Lonavala/khandala. 1. Their service team is arrogant, rude and shamelessly uncultured. 2. Rooms are dirty, we being the guests we had cockroaches as too in the rooms,toilets, etc 3. Their food service was pathetic and those who were serving the food were very unprofessional and mindless staff. 4. One more thing,the best part is they have uploaded edited photos on the room booking apps and are fooling the customers. 5. Prices are too much for any room and facilities are disgusting. I request everyone who is or will ever try to book this hotel from any app please do not consider this stay,they are the worst in everything. If i had the option i would have not given them 1 star also. They need to improve or need to shut down their business. This type of unprofessional behaviour and uncultured staff are bed bugs to the business. Thanks!!!!!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The location is superb, with easy access to surrounding attractions. The service was good, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was also decent, not bad at all. However, I was disappointed with the room maintenance. The rooms were not well-maintained, which was a letdown. Moreover, the bed and pillows had an unpleasant odor, which affected my overall comfort. Overall, I would give this hotel an average rating.

Worst service ever won't even imagine staying or asking someone to stay here. This hotel is bad in every aspect I haven't got words to explain how filthy, dirty and bad service this hotel provides.

Not hygienic at all... "serious issue with bathroom" We stayed in a mountain view room although the view was good, but the bathroom was so bad that it completely spoiled our stay. The flush was non-functional, and the entire room was infested with cockroaches. The toilet also emitted dirty water, making it unusable. So we switched to a standard room hoping to atleast use washroom, we still encountered problems. The washbasin in this room was covered in algae, making it disgusting to ise The state of the bathroom was so appalling that it made us avoid using it altogether.
