Whistling Winds Panchgani

A superb place in the vicinity of Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar. Location is very beautiful. It's one of the topmost location around this place in terms of elevation. So, you get all the beautiful views of valleys and peaks around. That also means you will be greeted with pleasant breezes even in the peak of summer. That way it's true to its name of "Whistling Winds". There are many places nearby to visit and see. Mahabaleshwar and all its 'points', Panchgani itself, Bhilar (the village of books), Pratapgarh fort etc. are at drivable distances. Panchgani's famous Table Land is very near. The Whistling Winds bungalow itself is absolutely majestic. This is not a hotel or a resort... But, it's a true home stay facility. It's G+2 structure with spacious rooms. All urban needs of parking, cleanliness etc are fulfilled. There are 6 rooms and all are self contained. Boiler hot water is available 24x7. A big parking space is available, where around 6-8 cars can be parked. Even a couple of buses can also do. Approach road is not in a great condition, but still very much drivable. The capacity of this home-stay is about 30-35 people max. The owners are planning to add some more features like swimming pool, children's play area etc. in near future. Whistling Winds has a all time caretaker staff. They are very nice people. All types of veg or non-veg food can be cooked on demand. Food quality and taste is great. Drinking is allowed in the rooms, but not in common area unless you have booked the entire facility. All this is at a very reasonable price. All in all, this place provides a great combination of price, place, convenience and hospitality. If you are planning to be around Mahabaleshwar for a nice weekend or a vacation, there is no need to look any further for your stay there.
