The Riverine Stay by Igatpuri

We recently stayed at Riverine, excited for a great trip, but our experience was a complete disaster. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the resort fell far below expectations. The rooms were dirty and infested with flies and bugs, the AC was broken, and the bathroom water was muddy. The swimming pool was filled with insects, and the nearby lake was smelly and unclean. The food was equally disappointing--they used the same curry base for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, making everything taste the same. To make matters worse, the resort was overpriced for the poor service and facilities it provided. We were so fed up with the conditions that we checked out earlier than our original departure time because staying any longer was unbearable. Overall, I would rate my experience 1/5. Riverine desperately needs a complete overhaul in terms of cleanliness, facilities, and service. I strongly advise against booking this place.

Property is on the backwater of Darna dam. The view is good. Staff is attentive. Food is delicious . ||Prices are kinda affordable as per the amenities provided at the place....||Service is prompt. We enjoyed a lot here. My family had a memorable trip to Igatpuri. Thank you team.

Additionally, the nearby lake was foul-smelling and poorly maintained. The dining experience was equally disappointing. There was no menu card provided--only vague mentions of food quantity rather than quality. Every dish tasted the same as they used the same curry base, indicating a severe lack of culinary effort. The waiting time for food was excessively long, adding to our frustration. To make matters worse, during our morning walk, we noticed dogs roaming around the kitchen area, raising serious hygiene concerns. For the substandard facilities and poor service, the resort is highly overpriced. The conditions were so unbearable that we decided to check out earlier than planned, as staying any longer was simply not an option. From what we experienced, this place operates more like a poorly managed lodging facility rather than a resort. Overall, I would rate my experience 1/5. Riverine urgently requires a complete overhaul in terms of cleanliness, amenities, and service standards. I strongly advise others against booking this place until significant improvements are made.

To make matters worse, stray dogs were licking the utensils near the kitchen area--an absolute health hazard! It was beyond unhygienic and completely unacceptable for any place that claims to be a "resort." Riverine needs a complete overhaul in terms of cleanliness, facilities, and service. I was so dissatisfied that I checked out early because staying any longer was simply unbearable. I would strongly advise against booking this place unless every single issue is properly addressed.
