The Caliph Hotel

The Caliph Hotel is a decent option if you're looking for something under 6,000 in Powai. The room was fairly spacious and clean, though the interiors could use an update. Service was a bit slow, especially during check-in, but the staff was polite. Breakfast was included and had limited but decent options. The best part about this hotel is its proximity to commercial areas like SEEPZ and L&T. It's okay for a short business trip, but don't expect luxury--this is a functional, no-frills stay.

Javed Bhai, who is owner of the hotel, is managing it very professionally and goes out of his way to accomodate the needs to the customers. His team of Abdul (reservations ) and Junaid carry on the same traits in terms of customer sensitivity. Abdul helped me end to end in managing all my guest's stay related requirements and went beyond his call of duty to make guests feel comfortable. Upon special request he also arranged a Jain buffet dinner for all the guests.

The AC in rooms is central AC which is poorly maintained or poorly installed. AC keeps turning on and off by itself which makes room too cool and makes it hot and humid in some time. And same keeps repeating. It's a very frustrating experience and you'll not be able to sleep. It happens late in night so you can't complain either. Rooms are spacious, clean and washrooms are good. But will not be staying here again due to AC problem.

We had a wonderful experience. The service was full of warmth.We stayed there for the exams of my daughter who was in Grade 10. Abdur at the Reception with a pleasing smile always catered to all our needs and demands.It was like a second home to us . Absolutely a great experience.

The main road to this hotel is being re-constructed, that has nothing to do with the hotel itself but because the road has been made now one way, reaching the hotel is through a diverted way. The staff is very friendly. The check in process was smooth. The suite room is Nice with some small patches here & there. The aircon is there in the rooms. I expected it to be nicer & cosier, looking at the price paid. It didn't seem so much value of money. Room service is also very good. The bathroom was clean with a bath tub & shower facility. The restaurant serves nice food. There seems like a school nearby so somewhat of a disturbance you can expect in terms of noise & all.

Worst hotel ever. Extremely rude staff. The place stinks. No action after complains. The bathroom wash basin clogs. Lots of mosquitoes. They don't provide mosquito repellent by default. Would request all not to book this hotel.

I had a wonderful two week stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making the experience even more comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere.
