We visited Novotel Mumbai Juhu for Sunday Brunch. The spread was excellent especially the seafood.. Good ambience and live music. Dessert section was huge. Mocktails were also nice which was much needed in this hot summer. Special thanks to Ganesh who assisted with every query.
We had been to Sampan with family and friends. The overall experience was superb. There was a new menu that was introduced and we were very satisfied with the variety that was served. Food was excellent, kudos to chef Hari Sharma, he prepared every dish to perfection. Staff was courteous, Sahil was very polite. We had a great time.
We had lunch at Sampan and tried the new Pan -Asian delicaies that have been added to the menu. This restaurant is an old favorite of my wife and her family so we were keen to try out the new dishes on the menu.|The sushi and dumplings we tried as starters were top notch and we enjoyed both the vegetarian and non-vegotaian options.. We tried the Ramen, Korean Bibimbap and Thai curry which were delicious. The pork belly was outstanding and not to be missed if you enjoy pork.|Service was attentive and prompt and we really enjoyed the whole experience.
The stay was satisfactory overall. We had specifically requested a non-smoking room, which was provided as requested. However, the bath towel in the room had a strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant. On the day of arrival, we opted for the lunch buffet and requested for the bill to be posted to the room. At that point, we were informed that room posting was not allowed. When we checked with the front desk, we were told that a pre-authorisation was required -- something that was not mentioned to us at the time of check-in, which led to unnecessary inconvenience. Additionally, we found the restaurant menu to be extremely expensive compared to the portion sizes and offerings, which did not feel like good value for money. Lastly, during checkout, no one enquired about our stay or asked for feedback. It gave the impression that guest satisfaction and experience were not being prioritised.
Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach offers a pleasant stay with a prime location right by the beach, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The ambiance is elegant, with spacious and well-maintained rooms offering great views of the Arabian Sea. The food at the hotel is decent, with a variety of options across different cuisines. While the quality and presentation are good, the prices are on the higher side. However, the overall experience is satisfactory, with attentive service and a comfortable environment. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach provides a relaxing atmosphere with decent dining options, though it may feel a bit pricey.
We recently visited Juhu Novotel for a family holiday in Mumbai. We had a good experience of Novotel Goa and we decided to try Novotel Juhu..near the beach being an added advantage and we thought kids will enjoy swimming pool in this summer month.||The good part: Nice location of the hotel with direct private beach access. Beach is not private. Access from the hotel is private. Beachside cafe, Swimming pool, Coconut trees etc. Housekeeping team was doing a good job. Clean rooms. Valet parking was available. Check-in check-out was decent. ||The disappointment: |Overall experience turned out to be very average. |Swimming pool: Crows were washing themselves in the swimming pool...so obviously no human was venturing in the pool. Our kids were disappointed that they could not be in the swimming pool. |Overall the hotel building needs maintainanace and a thorough cleaning. ||"The Square" restaurant: Experience was below average. The space is not managed well. The managers and supervisors were not seen anywhere. Completely absent.||The poor waiters were working hard..and still nothing was getting done. ||The food itself was not bad. Chef was doing a good job, but overall it is completely mismanaged. |The table arrangement was not good. The tables were so closely arranged that people were not able to pull a chair without touching another customer's chair. Even though there was ample space.|Waiters were not at all trained to know the difference between a sauce and a sausage, difference between sunny side up egg and a fried egg...||Breakfast: Table number was not easily visible. Customer were telling wrong table numbers, and food was not getting delivered to the table properly at the time of the breakfast.|Food was not getting replenished on the buffet counters in time. Supervisors need to manage these things properly and supervisors also need to manage customer expectations in this.||Overall - Mumbai style efficiency was lacking. Considering the great location, Hotel needs to be managed much better in terms of customer experience and cleanliness. Avoid "the square" restaurant. Any roadside food joint is managed better that this.
Worst stay ever! Wish I had booked some cheap hotel priced 3k bucks.||They had the worst service ever. The AC didn't work, the fridge didn't work. the technicians spent 4-5 hours in my room, came and went atleast 8 times. they replaced the fridge 3 times and blamed the sun for ac not working properly. ||I literally just asked them to keep my 3 bottles in their restaurant fridge and they wouldn't do that and instead send technicians to ruin my stay.||At the end, they did take the bottles to their own fridge. After the technicians wasted my 5 hours.||After wasting my whole evening, they asked me to switch rooms.||Also, i had booked the ocean view room for 2 nights, had spoken to their team on call for a 50th birthday cake for mom. ||They had confirmed the same but at the end just sent a pastry instead. I mean going back on their word for a cake worth 1-2k is just stupid. I obviously didn't call for room service after that which would have easily put 20k in their pockets. (Loosing business for rookies init?)||Also, one of the food and beverage team guys was super rude, my friends would have surely beaten him up if they were around.
