Hotel New India

Im kind of two minds on this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and really seem to be concerned about your needs. They got a call from my son in the USA and notified me as I had no phone. They also helped book me into another hotel. Free breakfast was much appreciated. The other side is that I had booked a room through Expedia for a total of $33 for three days but was charged (upgraded?) without consent and charged $55. Also they would not take my Visa and I had to pay cash which was a real inconvenience. Need to tell people on the site about the card thing. Place was clean enough but room very small and TV in my room didn't work but after several attempts to fix it they moved me to another room. The place is good for a night if you are moving on the next day IMHO.

Hotel is cheap but not so cheap that they cant even maintain toilets properly. No toilet seat available at shared toilets, No hangers available there, Very little pressure of water, Doors have to be locked forcefully. Area around the hotel is smelly and not so good neighborhood. Book only when u have urgent work in South Mumbai and u dont have to be in the room for the whole day.

Worst hotel...staff people theft my belongings nd acting like they didn't.... unhygienic place never ever stay in this hotel in monsoon season water leaks and comes into the room...if u wanna stay please be careful with your belongings...

Very nice location near a market you don't have to go far for food and other things very nice service and rooms in cheap price 1km away from railway station free wifi and gentle staff clean washroom with clean room every thing is available at your room friendly staff beach is also so close the water bottle is given by them is pure water room is clean and washroom is also cleaned

Well... at least hotel was cheap and the sheets were clean ;) - Small, claustrophobic rooms Shared toilets with no hot water Free wi-fi working only near the reception Its old and dirty + Nice staff Good price Close to the city centre (55rs for a cab with working meter)

Its an awesome hotelto take stay at. Most of the foreigners take stay here. The facilities and service is great and moreover we have hospital, pharmacy,restaurants, theatre,police station,mosque church and mandir in the vicinity of this hotel.

Location is good, though tricky to find (entrance through a kebab place). The room was extremely small and noisy (pick one: suffocating or enjoying Mumbai street noises all night).

Hotel is very econimical amidst barely 4 km from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway terminus. I have been to this place many times but it's service is deteriorating day by day. Toilet facility is in bad condition and mosquitoes and odour become unbearable sometimes. Go to this hotel only if you are looking for econimical stay for 1 night.
