HOTEL BEST

I booked hotel best but when I arrived (at 4:30am) it was the wrong hotel but it had the same name! So, please check address properly before arriving. Staff were very nice and helpful to get a rickshaw to another hotel where I was staying in another different area.

I recently stayed at this hotel for approximately 15 days during a business trip. After staying in a different hotel initially, I chose this hotel and was very pleased with my decision. The manager, Sanjeev, was incredibly helpful and provided me with the best rate available. The hotel staff were welcoming and maintained a perfect balance of being attentive without interfering too much. The rooms are significantly larger compared to other nearby hotels and exceptionally clean. Overall, my experience here was excellent. Hotel best is the best !

The absolute worst hotel service you could choose. Go to Vaithi Residency next door instead. I was surprised since there were previous good reviews but when I arrived after having booked a room the day before, I was not only denied but treated rudely. When I first walked in and said I had a reservation the front desk man simply said "no" without looking up and refused to engage any further. I was confused and assumed it was possibly a language barrier (I don't speak fluent Hindi) but then another middle aged man who worked there and spoke a little English came over and while I thought he would be able to assist it quickly became clear that he just wanted to scam me and upcharge me after learning I was a foreigner. He requested additional payment (I had already paid online), saying that all they had open was a "Super Deluxe" Room and I had only booked the Deluxe. Keep in mind this was clearly a lie because before he had walked over a young man had come out to help with the bags (the only person there who was not terrible) was confused and had taken one of my bags to an empty Deluxe room that had recently been vacated and still needed to be cleaned. It smelled of cigarette smoke but the person who was there said they just some time to clean it. I'm fairly low maintenance and understand sometimes things come up that are hard for hotels to immediately address so mentioned I was fine with that room. Still, the men at the front desk continued trying to upcharge me, saying that I hadn't paid enough online (despite them significantly misquoting the amount I paid online, another red flag). I mentioned earlier in the review that I don't speak fluent Hindi but I understood enough of the conversation to hear that they were attempting to upcharge me only because I had a foreign passport from the US. It was also notable because the man I was speaking with in English didn't realize I understood parts of his speech (I clearly am not from India) and would switch between Hindi and English whenever he wanted to say something duplicitous to his associate and I decided to just let him talk out of ignorance. We went back and forth for some time as I refused to pay the upcharge, partly because it was clear he was trying to scam and partly because of the principle of the matter. When I mentioned contacting Goibibo, the online service I had booked the room through, the man started panicking and trying to stop me from contacting them since he clearly knew he was in the wrong. Still, he wouldn't let up on trying to upcharge me so I called Goibibo to explain and hopefully cancel. The entire time, the middle aged man trying to upcharge me at the hotel tried to get me to give him the phone so he could talk with them and probably lie, but at this point I was over it. Goibibo was a huge help and eventually contacted him and then Goibibo offered me a refund and offered to reimburse me for a new hotel (an offer I denied since it wasn't their fault though I still appreciated the gesture). The representative at Goibibo told me the hotel had told them there was an issue communicating because of a language barrier and that they only had a more expensive room available (a proven falsehood). Anyway, I went to the hotel literally right beside them (Vaithi Residency) and they accepted my last minute reservation at normal pricing and were beyond kind and accommodating. Lastly, the two men at the front desk kept trying to look inside my bags despite me repeatedly telling them it was just clothes, water and toiletries. Even when I started moving my things out to Vaithi Residency next door, the people at Hotel Best were trying to antagonize me to grab all of my bags as quickly as possible since I had to take a walk back once to get the last bag. Overall, Hotel Best is terrible and I do not recommend for anyone. Choose Vaithi Residency next door.

Decent Hotel and cooperative Staff. We also recommend this hotel to our family members and friends.

Near to Kokilaben Hospital and they also helped my granny so well as she was on wheelchair after her operation they given the best service

I have an amazing experience staying in this hotel. The service is good and staff are very cooperative and helpful. The property located in super area and we can enjoy there.

Good service, over all nice place to stay. Staff so helpful and supportive. Highly recocomded to all those who will come to Mumbai first time.
