'For happy times' For humans and pets alike! We visited as an extended family, dog included. The staff felt genuinely warm, and non intrusive. The food was comfort food with set menu concept; including East Indian famous "Fugias" at tea time. The set menu helps with not having to make food choices (no energy used in food selection :). It is great for large groups. The meals have several options in the set menu; making it easier for picky eaters as well. Design and overall feel: The design is visually delightful; all spaces are intentionally crafted. Natural stone rooms, cozy balconies/ verandas, and lush landscaping blend with the surroundings. The infinity pool-with its multiple depths- makes it happy space for both adults and children. What fun! The East India House Concept: Each room is named after a community character. It's a thoughtful, fun tribute that adds meaning to your stay. Nature and treks: The nature walk and leisure trek makes it fun. Waking up to bird calls and tranquil views is super nice. Hobbies: A break with hobbies. Perfect place to paint, do pottery, trek. I was able to do some small paintings. In short: East India House is a thoughtfully designed, pet-friendly retreat where every detail-from food to hospitality-makes for a happy family getaway. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, and tasteful getaway.

Loved the property, the food and the experience, may return and definitely recommend a visit. Just the service needs to be worked upon in terms of following up to come for lunch, breakfast etc even though there is an hour or two left. Restaurant to be operational with ac when guests are seated especially during summers.
The property is absolutely stunning! Whether you want to relax by the balcony, the pool or explore the beautiful trails around, it has something for everyone. Feels like a little slice of Goa in the middle of Mumbai!
For the first time, my little preschooler cried - to back home and to his friends! That's how much East India House felt like home to him and I don't think there can be a better compliment to this hidden gem, right here in Uttan. P.S. there should be a 10-star rating for the staff who took care of us so well.
Near Mumbai but feels like out of Mumbaj.. Sweet property.. Gourmet food.. Extremely courteous staff.. Sharing my photos. No edits. No filters.. This place gives me the hope that I can quickly get away for a break and quickly get back..
Strongly recommend to family and friends. BEST STAY experience. Special Thanks to Tejas, Valerian and Amit for making our stay more comfortable and great. Will definetly recommend everyone to visit once.
Pathetic place. I visited here before 20 days in Diwali. ||1) First of all, it is not a resort. It is near the Dahisar dumping ground with 1000s of mosquitos...It is a very tiny property. It is just a 1 storyed building with 8 small rooms. ||2) No garden for children to play, No turf, No indoor games...Nothing at all..amphitheater is under construction..God knows when..||3) Swimming pool is good but that's the only thing outside the room||4) Food is the biggest problem. They take ages and ages to serve. Even if they say unlimited, they will serve only limited food. They charge extra for Papad. With Pav Bhaji also they didn't give Papad. In high tea for 25 people group, they served only 10 tea, some biscuits. Only 3 to 4 sandwiches. They charge so much for food but don't show heart while serving. KANJUUUS||5) Our children did not get milk during evening snacks. They cried but no one to listen. After 1.5 hours they did Ehsaan by serving 1/4 glass milk||6) For guest each meal is charged 1500.. which is equal to Taj Hotel.. what a nonsense charge.||7) They didn't allowed us to play our music in their Speakers. You have to listen to their selected tracks only.||8) Food was tasty but overall I won't visit this so called 'Tinest resort in the World' again
East India House is the best resort I have come across in Uttan. Surrounded with nature, most scenic property and we'll maintained. The staff is well trained and always ready to help. If you book their villa, you could definitely enjoy the sunset. Not to forget about the food, one will always divulge in such mouth watering cuisine. Here's my 5 star for East India.
