It has awesome location, scenic view specially sunrise . The Lord family (owners) were also very friendly and polite, the service was Good. The property gives some vintage heritage like vibes.. it's very calm and peaceful. Have small library and book collection is also broad. Rooms are also having large space... but Only thing is as, it's older property some minor issues are there like less pressure in taps etc...but can be manageable. Food is also tasted good

This hotel is too old to stay. They are selling as heritage hotel but it's not heritage but aged hotel. Bed, cup board, mattress, windows everything is too old and not maintained compared to price you pay. They don't have basic amenities like routine dental kit, soaps at basin forget about shampoo, moisturiser and combs. Service of staff is nice and quick. Meal at hotel is too costly at 700 per person so I recommend to go out for lunch and dinner. Out side you can eat in half price. Swimming pool, few indoor games and back side view are few positive points I can list. Location is 800m from railway station so not too far or too nearby.

Zero maintenance. Terrible food. Price charged for the rooms and the food does not justify its quality. Absolutely avoidable. Quite a horrendous place to stay. The rooms are dilapidated and the food is quite crappy with absolutely nothing significant to offer to vegetarians, not that they have anything great for non-vegetarians. ||Many other nicer places that one could opt for a stay in Matheran. ||Only USP of this place is the location. Housekeeping and kitchen staff is courteous.

Lords Central is an old style property located at a convenient area. It gives vibes of the era gone by and literally takes you back in time. The room we stayed was the valley view which gives an awesome sight of the rising sun on khandala point. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available and the menu is a set one per day. Other things include the swimming pool, badminton court and table tennis. Location wise it's walkable distance from the Bazaar and yet very calm from the outside noise. As name suggests, the property is managed by the Lords family who are very polite and soft spoken. Same is also evident from the courteous behaviour of the staff. Overall a very nice place to stay if you like the old style.

We paid 6k for room which was way below standards not even comparable to oyo rooms. We arrived at 12:45 pm and rooms were still not cleaned. Had to wait for 20 mins. Unbearable mould smell, unclean linens, extremely compact blanket, no soap, no hand wash. And i paid 6k for this property. Shame on them to charge so much. 2 stars because veranda was beautiful. Rest stay in hostel for cheap. Will not recommend to anyone.

Wifi is available near the reception, and if the room is at a distance there might not be a signal. A tiny CRT television was in our room, luckily none of us were interested in watching telly. The mattress was a bit lumpy and not what we were used to. Towels and the bedsheets were clean and fresh when we arrived, the blankets though didn't seem to be freshly cleaned. Its location is unbeatable--situated near the bustling market and centrally placed, it offers easy access to all the key points in Matheran. The hotel also prioritizes safety, especially for children, allowing parents to relax and enjoy their vacation worry-free. One of the highlights of the hotel is its cozy library corner, a peaceful spot for book lovers. The swimming pool overlooking the ghats is another standout feature, offering breathtaking views of the sunrise--a sight not to be missed. Rooms are very age old , they should upgrade them. TV dth does not work. No landline for room service. Hot water time 8-10am only. You only get towel and soap. Out of 3 , 2 bankets were fine 1 looks old and dirty. Veranda is good , pool is good but no tshirt even if its nylon or polyester. Only shorts allowed and for women proper swimming costume. Playing area , carrom , tennis and kids are is also fine. They are charging for the location only else I would highly recommend not to book here nor I will go again.

We recently stayed here, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience, especially considering the high rate of 5400 per night. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this establishment has not kept up with modern standards. The furniture looked like it hadn't been replaced in decades, and the musty smell was unbearable. The bed was uncomfortable with lumpy pillows, and the linens looked worn out and not properly cleaned. The bathroom was even worse. The fixtures were rusty. Hot water was available only for 3 hours in the nothing. The cleanliness was highly questionable, with mold in the corners and a constant damp smell. It's a shame because the location is beautiful, but the lack of care and investment in the property is evident. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Matheran. There are far better options available in the area that offer better value for money.
