Horseland Hotel Matheran

Stayed at Horseland for 2 days and had an incredible experience. The resort is beautifully nestled in nature, offering the perfect mix of tranquility and adventure. A special shoutout to the night trek to Echo Point organized by the hotel--sitting under the stars by the bonfire was nothing short of magical. The entire vibe was serene and rejuvenating, making it a truly memorable getaway. Big kudos to our host, Mahesh Patel, for arranging the perfect weekend. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to unwind and recharge!

The hotel is decent, but the room is not up to standard. We selected a standard room, which is good in size, but it wasn't clean. There were no cleaners outside the room. The bathroom was also dirty when we checked in, and it took two calls before they came to clean it. Additionally, there were no towels or soap available in the room, and the water jug was empty. We had to call for these basic amenities. On a positive note, the pool is very nice, although the water is quite cold. The food is okay. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Matheran railway station.

Everything was fine. Service was superb, rooms were cleaned everyday. Food - well selected menu for all meals (no repeat). Deserts were sone-pe-suhaga. Even the Bar was well stocked. Sound and D.J. was excellent. Magician - out of the world. On the whole we had a jolly good time. Thanks..!

Location was good.. rooms are quite big but not well maintained. AC was not working reasons given was due to electricity during complete stay. Food was ok. hit water limited availability. would not recommend for couples but good for using swimming pool. evening activity was good.

Its WORSELAND and not HORSELAND We had a harrowing time in the Horseland hotel. We had booked deluxe room for 2 families with poor maintenance. Putting forward the detailed problems faced: * Unhygienic rooms with locks were loose. If pushed strongly, the door could be broken open. Not secured at all. * Rooms were dull and wall plasters were coming off. * Wooden cupboards were damaged and no hangars were provided * Bed covers and sheets were washed but was having stinking smells. * Rooms corner tile was cracked * Toilet closet was broken * Toilet tiles were cracked * LED TV was not functional * Windows AC was very noisy and after few hours water started seeping out * Front desk personnel gave misleading information regarding sight seeing and agents * Travel rates for horse ride and rental cars were too exorbitant as it seems they had commission in the charges. * Monkey menace within hotel property and outside room windows as it seems hotel authorities are feeding them. * Only saving soul was swimming pool and food. For each and every issue we had to call up reception and the response as well as service was very poor. Worst hotel with pathetic service ever seen in my entire life. Highly recommended to avoid booking in Horseland.

Loved Calligraphy .Rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. The location was perfect and convenient for exploring nearby attractions and food was delicious, offering a great variety of dishes to choose from ,had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay.

Great location with beautiful surrounding and most friendly and helpful staff. Overall everything was good with clean pool facing rooms and excellent service. Stay and food was worth the price. V enjoyed the spa service. Even they were very polite . Good for friends and family trip. Me and my friends were very happy with the stay and hope to b back again and again.

One of the best resort in Matheran with all the peace & entertainment you need when you are away from the city..... The food veg & non veg is very tasty & fulfilling & they have an helpful staff.... The ambience in all is very apt for any type of groups whether it be senior citizen or girls only like us or any couple.... The interests of children's are also kept in mind coz we also saw children enjoying to their best..... Rooms very very comfortable for large groups also....Rates are also very reasonable...... Location is very much close to the station & market so in the evenings even after seeing the tourist points if you have time you can easily stroll around the market..... Mr Mahesh's hospitality goes without mentioning as he is a very humble e person who helped us with our choice of the rooms even for the last minute.... And last but not the least DJ Michael rocks & we also rocked the dance floor as if there is no tomorrow... JEENE KE HAI CHAAR DIN.... BAAKI HAI BEKAAR DIN..... So enjoyed our teen din at the resort to the fullest......
