Anita Niwas Matheran

A very comfortable, clean room with a cozy atmosphere. Hosts were extremely nice and and the food was amazing. Many very cute cats around. All in all a great accomodation!

I went with my frds. And I would definitely say that we couldn't have found any other best place than this for our trip (a most female frds trip). The service and management there is more than awesome with such a friendly and cooperative environment. It was just like staying with our relatives. They gave us privacy, safety and everything we could have asked for with a very friendly environment with super delicious and satisfying home made food. Everything was worth it and they are amazing ppl. I would not only recommend them but would also insist to go there for stay if you planning to visit matheran. It is very safe and super satisfying. (Recommend to book prior and also give them the menu you would want to eat)

It was an amazing experience, the service, the homemade food, cleanliness and the aura of that place everything was so perfect. Especially both the owners kaka and kaki were so sweet, they made sure we reach safe and answered every call for guiding us, very humble and kind. Overall a homely environment. Peaceful and safe.

Owner are very nice and friendly, the food was very tasty I just loved it, shop is also available in property itself no need to carry Bisleri and all everything is available,rooms are very clean, Owner is very polite, I will recommend you to visit it. First of all thank you so much providing such a good service. We are very satisfied. Here is my experience staying here. Pros 1) Chavan Kaka and Kaku are very friendly in nature. You feel like you are staying at your relative's house. 2) Rooms are very clean. 3) Food is very tasty. 4) Affordable. 5) Has Free Wi-Fi Access Cons 1) Location is in between Aman lodge parking and Matheran Main market. You have to walk for 20-25 mins to reach here. Or you can hire a horse. 2) Matheran Market is also around 15-20 mins far from Anita Niwas. 3) Food quantity is less compared to the price they charge. Any sabji katori will cost you Rs. 50/- 4) Chicken Thali also has less chicken pieces compred to the price. in a regular hotel in our city you get nearly same quantity of chicken pieces but you get extra katori of gravy, boiled egg, Chutney, Loncha etc. Here you will get only chicken katori, roti and rice. if you need extra gravy for any sabji you will have to pay Rs. 50 per katori. Other than that I am pretty much satisfied.

Anita niwas in Matheran is best place to stay in matheran. I enjoyed my sunday with my friends. Owner is very much supportive and home made food is available as per the order. Shop is also available in premises where u can get snacks, biserli,cold drinks etc so no need to carry.
