Altafs Motel

We did booking from booking.com, half payment was done in the name of pre-payment, which was non- refundable. When we checked in, the owner told to cancel the booking from booking .com. The owner communicated only on phone. There was only the caretaker in the so called hotel. Horrible experience. No cleanliness . Bathroom was also unclean. Cobwebs in the room. The caretaker said he would clean the rooms once we are back after our day out. Surprisingly the rooms should be clean before the guest arrival. But to our disappointment nothing was done. After evening we encountered poisonous insects i.e centipede(kankhajura,big spiders,cockroaches) in the room . Room service was horrible. Even after complaining about the above problems,the owner didn't turn up. Instead he sent someone with Hit spray. We were struggling during entire night with the insects preventing ourselves and small kids in the room. All the interior and exterior pictures posted online are old pictures. Presently it is horrible.

The service are incredibly great and thing which make this perfect is it's location because it's near to market and station.. Well mannered staff and rooms are also cleaned as expected.... Thank you for great experience...

Very worst, dirty nd unhygenic hotel. The room is full of dust n not clean. It was bitter experience. Due to dust , I suffered heavy alergy nd it lasts for two months. There was poisonous insects in the room. All fake photos of rooms given online to impress people.

This is a terrible place for the price. The rooms and bathrooms were dirty and the place is downright dilapidated. There were cockroaches and lizards in the room. The bedsheets were dirty and had holes. There are plenty better hotels you can book at a much cheaper price.

Book for my mom dad they are senior citizens but akeep sir help them lot taking care for there safety and constantly keep checking on them make they are ok nice gueture from akeep sir and location is also good near main market thank u for your help and support specially thank to akeep sir

Worst and filthy Unhigenic Motel in Matheran --- Altaf Motel I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was in terrible condition with dust everywhere, making it feel unhygienic. The bedsheet provided was dirty and clearly hadn't been changed. The curtains were old, torn, and added to the shabby appearance of the room. The tap in the bathroom wasn't functional and made it difficult to use the sink properly. Overall, the room lacked basic cleanliness and maintenance. The poor condition of the amenities made the stay uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and pleasant stay. Price paid for a night 2000 but actual worth looking at condition is 500 inr. Saving your day folks, must avoid property. Check pics for reference.

Couple friendly room good wooden decorations go for it

Rooms were clean with wooden interior but too small with just one bed and one small side table, and had no space to move around at all. Staff is polite and courteous but was unable to provide basic facilities like clean hot water. Bedsheets were not smelling but were of dark colour. Location is near to the market but the motel by itself doesn't have any space or area to sit, you just need to be using your room throughout your stay. Overpriced.
