Adamo The Village

Went for Good Friday weekend upon a friends suggestion. Huge property, lot of swings. It is situated right at the end of the line of hotels, around 7-10mins of walking to the main market area but not too noisy. Decently clean although rooms could do with some thorough cleaning given the 7k we paid per night. Our room was next to the pool area. Lots of monkeys who snatch things, take care of belongings. Pool water wasn't too clean and both me and my husband had itches post dip. In the evenings, one day they arranged puppet show and another day magic show, which was quite entertaining for the kids. Food was very good- ample options of veg and non veg items, tasty and suitable for kids as well - the light khichdi was outstanding, loved by my baby and hubby both. Overall good stay, recommended.

Just visited the property. It felt like peaceful heaven in the heart of city. Very relaxing ambience to the detail. Staff was very well cultured and supported and meeting our every need. Overall great experience. Just one little flaw the house keeping staff needs to buckle up slightly and the toiletries need to be changed daily and floor needs to be cleaned daily too. I would rate the property 9 out of 10

It was a great experience staying at Adamo the Village Matheran. We stayed in a Deluxe room. Rooms are well maintained, with all facilities. Food here is very tasty and of a wide variety. Amenities provided are excellent. Overall it was an awesome experience...

We booked a super deluxe room (602), and we found the room size and cleanliness to be satisfactory. The washroom is quite spacious and has running hot water. Additionally, they provided an extra bed that can accommodate two people.||Dinner and breakfast were included in our package and were decent. The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the e-rickshaw stand.

The place is good; big rooms, hot water, nice surroundings, nice clean pool. It is exactly what they show in the pics, except the game room (which was completely dusty and unusable). If you are going to stay here, you may want to consider taking a package with lunch and dinner included (coz otherwise you will have to order Ala Cart and they have very limited options). We had taken a package with breakfast only and had other meals outside (personal I think that was a better choice- taste wise and economically)

Great hospitality and prompt service from the staff..... Very cooperative. Indeed a very comfortable stay with neat rooms and bathrooms. The pool too is big and clean..... Overall highly recommended.

We stayed for 1 night in a Super deluxe near the pool. This is our 2nd stay in this property, earlier was in Nov 2023, in a deluxe room. Deluxe is much smaller than the super deluxe room. Room was spacious and neat. Bathroom and toilet also is very spacious unlike any I have seen and also was super clean. The property although slightly old, is very well maintained. The ambience is quite good as the rooms are like blocks of cottages set amidst greenery. There is decent space to walk around and swings are placed at many places. Last time swings were not in good condition but now all are repaired, well painted and functional. We had some issue with our room AC, which was rectified within 10 mins of my call. Their buffet spread, especially the meals ( we had dinner) is very good. So half board would be the minimum advisable. I was not well at night and the front desk person, Mr. Niranjan, showed exemplary concern for my well being and arranged for some basic medicine. Even the restaurant guys prepared a digestive kaada for me. Salute. If Adamo the village continue to maintain their quality , it will remain my first choice of stay in Matheran always as it offers very good value for money. To top it all, it is very close to the market but still away from the crowd.

However, issues arose with the staff, which were notably unprofessional. For instance, a charge of 1500 INR was applied for a three-year-old child, which we initially agreed to. Despite this, we faced repeated interruptions until 11 PM regarding the submission of a photo ID.||Furthermore, the 10 AM checkout policy was quite strict, and we were denied a simple request for a one-hour extension, despite the fact that a large portion of the property appeared to be unoccupied at the time. ||Potential guests should be cautious about these practices, especially if booking through services like Cleartrip. Overall, while the rooms and ambiance are commendable, the staff's behavior may detract from the overall experience.
