Treebo Cecil Resort

Hotel location is not suitable for family with kids, no direction, no signboards, no mobile network and no assistance from hotel staff make it worse. Room and bed linen were not clean. Room service was not available at all, basic amenities and toiletries were also not provided. Only good part was the food. Overall not value for money, though, It can be a very good resort if maintained properly and management is willing to do so. Train staff to be more attentive and helpful to guests.

We had a splendid, refreshing experience in the resort. The property is well maintained, totally surrounded by nature. We received great hospitality from the staffs and even the locals as well there. The food was excellent, very fresh, hygienic. We made great memories in Matheran and staying at Cecil made our trip very precious. We would book the resort in the future as well whenever we come to Matheran. Thanks!

Well, a calm place to relax. Good vegetarian food, very tasty. Breakfast was OK not that great. Rooms are very big but all moist walls. Bed linens we did not clean had fungus on it. Amenities were not in working condition in 2 rooms. Good part was the toilets were very big and clean, except for the buckets which were very slimy. Overall a very good place with a small pool.

Good location if you prefer not too crowded place. as it is completely in jungle. you do not expect much from places like matheran. still there are things which went below acceptable levels. if you are paying premium rates. stayed here for two night on 27th to 29th December 24. 1. unwashed bedlinens 2. broken furniture placed everywhere. (even outside our room no13) also chairs/ loungers they kept pool side were broken. no wardrobe available. a rusted dressing table with broken drawers were placed at outside washroom area. 3. cockroach around in room. 4. no basic toiletories provided. only shower gel and handwash refilled in washroom. flush was leaked. 5. at Breakfast there is only one common bowl placed to take jam at counter which everyone have to share. 6. Pool was not clean. Again staff and locals were very sweet and supportive. but proprty needs a BIG upgrade if they are charging 6.6k per night!

Dirty room, dust everywhere. Stains on the sheets, broken furniture. The AC was barely working and very noisy. Bed hard as a rock. For approximately 50EU per night this is unacceptable, we woke up as early as possible to leave

This was the best hotel I have ever seen, such good staff, such good service and the rooms were amazing. Before going I had also read bad reviews in the comments but when I went there I liked it very much.I can bet that you will not find such a resort in the whole of Matheran. I say that whenever you go to Matheran, book this resort. Best hotel. And the breakfast, lunch, dinner here is so best / taste is amazing You won't find food like this even in a restaurant, this hotel serves such good food. This resort deserves a zero rating if that were possible. First of all, the location is a complete lie. The hotel is nowhere near what Google Maps shows, and there are ZERO signs to help you find it. My family and I were lost in the jungle for almost an entire night, trying to locate the place. It felt like a horror movie. To make matters worse, we contacted the resort multiple times for assistance, and no one bothered to respond. We were left stranded and terrified, and this ruined our entire trip. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Unless you enjoy the thrill of being lost in the jungle, this resort is not for you!

I have been coming to Cecil resort since 2020. Staying here is always been an amazing experience. I have seen, it's been upgrading each year. Considering its large size room and extra large/specious bathroom, the property is not less then any 4 star resort. food menu has various options, its taste and quality is very well maintained. Staff is alway being courteous and co-operative.
