Meritas Crystal Resort - Lonavala

We booked two rooms for two nights at Meritas Crystal through MakeMyTrip. Two days before check-in, I called the hotel to request adjacent rooms, but they denied the request, citing full occupancy. Even after upgrading and paying extra, we were not given adjacent rooms, despite seeing room availability on makemytrip. This was disappointing and not explained by the staff. The location is very convenient, about a kilometer before Kumar Resort. The rooms were decent in size, but the property clearly feels old--paint was peeling, furniture had spots, linens were dull, and the shower was faulty, even in the premium rooms. The hotel definitely needs refurbishment. Amenities include a restaurant, dedicated games room, open play area, pool, kids' play area, parking, and valet. However, room service was below expectations. On the positive side, the breakfast spread was good and included Jain options. Overall, I did not find the hotel value for money, possibly due to higher charges over the long weekend. I would likely avoid this hotel in the future.

I had a great stay at Meritas Crystal Resort in Lonavala. The hotel is well-maintained with clean and spacious rooms that felt really comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the ample parking space--it made things super convenient, especially since we were driving in. The breakfast buffet was also impressive with a good variety of options and everything tasted fresh. Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway--calm, clean, and well-equipped!

Good budget stay in a resort. Breakfast options are impressive and food taste and quality is very good. Service was a bit slow but given the resort was fully booked, they can improve to handle peak volumes. Pool and game room was decently maintained.

Great place to unwind for a few days. Compliments to the chef who made such amazing and delicious food for every meal...and at a reasonable price. Room was awesome. Staff was courteous.

The resort is wonderful and almost checks all the tick boxes when it comes to services like welcoming staff, good food, spacious rooms, good swimming pool, little kids play area that your kid can only enjoy in the evening due to its exposure to sunlight and a nice restaurant. That about it to make the holiday comfortable. What didn't click for us was the balcony, with two outdoor AC unit placed right on the floor balconies cannot be used at all . Game zone has a lot of games to spend around an hour easily there but now it needs maintenance. Overall, the place is right on the old mumbai pune highway making it easily accessible and just a km or two from main market, it's wonderful to spend a couple of days.

Overall it was a nice stay. Specially staff behaviour is too polite. Ambience is nice. But was not happy with there pool which was not clean, game zone (specially pool) plus there lawn area seating. And 2nd day we took a premium room with a bathtub with jacuzzi, but it was broken and not in working condition also which actually jacuzzi works. Overall nice experience but can be more better.

We stayed at the Meritas Crystal Resort recently with my family for a night. The location of the property is very good being very near to the main market and one can have a lot of options for conveyance. The rooms are decent but the maintenance and upkeep is much disappointing. One of the two rooms we were allotted had a vigorous smell of pesticides which caused me severe headache (not sure about other health hazards). The curtains were old and had dusty smell. The towels provided had a peculiar smell and basic toiletries like razor/shaving cream, comb etc. were missing. Though TV is not a priority while one is on a outing but it may be mentioned that the TV remote was not working and the TV had to be operated from the TV set itself. Moreover, the property seems to reserve the best rooms for a particular group and if one books other than this they are allotted rooms which are facing outside the property and had a smelly drain adjacent to it. Similar is the experience with the swimming pool. However, the property had a few positives as well which includes a very good location, some picturesque spots within the property for photography, a sit-out area in the middle of the property where you can sit together, chit-chat with friends and relax and a very good design which promotes photography. The room service was excellent and prompt and the staff very helpful and courteous. The restaurant had a lot of options for food with Indian/Continental breakfast which one can enjoy. Overall, I would rate the property 6/10 as the experience was not commensurate to the price charged.

Located just off the main road, this resort is easy to access alright, but the approach and exterior can be dusty. Our room was in the Windsor building, and it was at the end of the corridor. The room was musty smelling, the bathroom flush in the other room didn't work, the hair dryers didn't work, the balcony chairs were damaged, and the pool area is near a huge drainge system which smells terrible. The food was decent, however, the staff could be more pleasant. The restaurant manager was forever grumpy, kept scowling and was pretty curt with his responses. He went out of his way to remind us that breakfast wasn't free or included, when we were ready to pay. Overall, they stay could have been better for the price paid, the rooms certainly needed way more upkeep. Also - find your transportation beforehand, it can be difficult in this area. We waited a long time to get autos and cabs.
