Koyna Lake Resort

It's a deadly place to visit many times....nice location, ok food but views are awesome ... silent ambience which is the best thing to unwind .....

It was a wonderful experience. The resort rooms are clean and tidy (don't expect posh), Konya rooms are better than royal and royal deluxe rooms, they have a balcony and a view of the valley. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is good, tasty, not too spicy or oily, (don't expect it to taste like a city restaurant). The area is calm, quiet and beautiful.

Overlooking the Koyna lake, few rooms in the resort has awesome view. A large non AC dinning hall/restaurant with wonderful views is an pleasure to dine when its not filled up with kitchen smoke. The room furnishing and amenities screams for an update. Breakfast menu is very basic. Chef is well versed in local cuisine, service needs to upgrade professionally. Mobile and internet connectivity is non existent.

Great location. And that's about where all the good things end. Horrible, i repeat horrible food. It gave a few of our family members food poisoning. Steer clear of the paneer. okayish rooms. Bad toilets. Rooms are infested with insects, lots of insects. Taking all the above factors into consideration, the hotel (can't be called a resort) is highly over priced, especially their meals. I wouldn't advice a friend to go to this place.

Resort is good. Staff are helpful but there is no signboard to find the place. Approach road is also quite bad. Don't miss to visit Mahadev temple, 2 km from the resort. Food quality is also very good.

Dont get confused with MTDC shown on MakeMyTrip/ibibo, this is not available from them but only with MTDC site. Its on hill, view is good, the hill road needs improvement alongside signboards. Gmap doesn't work. Wifi available at office not in rooms. Rooms are avg, dont expect posh. Staff is very courteous and encourages/serves steamy hot food. Food choices are limited and what is served is okayish taste. But hot n hospitality with staff doesn't feel like complaining. No kids play equipments. Bit of renovation after covid will be worth attracting more and satisfied customers.

The resort from outside is good, but needs lot of maintenance. Rooms are not good, smelly from inside. Food is very ordinary. Mostly affected by the pandemic. Hope things get better in coming few months.

Excellent location, full view of Koyna Reservoir and green hills, nice sunrise, wide variety of birds, peacock, good weather. Excellent staff, nice behavior, helpful. Mr. Desai for arranging trips and Manager Sudhakar Sir, Bhushan Sir, Cook all are very nice people and helpful, nice food. Local Indrayani rice is must buy. No room service or daily housekeeping. Need sitting benches in outside premises.
