Visited Hotel Opal during my trip to Kolhapur and it truly lives up to its reputation for authentic Kolhapuri cuisine. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Mutton Thali, especially the Tambda and Pandhra Rassa - both packed with rich, traditional flavors that are a must-try for anyone visiting the city. The food was delicious and served hot, and the staff was extremely courteous and attentive, which made the experience even better. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the taste and quality of the food, along with the clean and welcoming ambiance, make it absolutely worth it. If you're in Kolhapur and looking to try local non-veg delicacies, Hotel Opal should definitely be on your list.

Great place to stay if you want to Halt for a night on your way to Bengaluru or Goa. Rooms are clean and neat, their breakfast is complementary and really have good taste with lot of good items and is unlimited. Even their meals are good.

We had went for dinner and it was awesome as the food was really different what we were expecting. Proper thali system with unlimited rice, chapati or bhakri along with tamda and pandra rasa..

Its was recommended by the hotel reception we stayed in Kolhapur. There was big rush when we went. We ordered deluxe chicken and mutton thali. Very much disappointed by the taste and quality of food. Chicyand mutton both were not fresh, as some of the pieces were not at all soft and hard to take a bite. Taste was average. So overall not satisfied.

We stayed here for last two days.It was very comfortable and pleasant stay.The staff is courteous and cooperative.Very prominent and convenient location. One must try food here which is tasty and delicious.Over last 60 years the taste of "pandhra and tambda rassa "is just the same.I stayed in Kolhapur from 1966 to 1969and remember this hotel as the most prime place since then.

We had order chicken delux thali and mutton masala thali, both were not so good in taste . The amount we paid for the food , and the food quality we received is totally unmatched. Over hyped. Over Price I will not recommend anyone to go here according to my experience.

Rooms were okay, should have been more clean. But the service is very prompt. When we told them about dirt, they cleaned it very promptly. Prices seem a little over. For the room prices should have been 2200-2500 per day.
