Gaachee Resort, Kolad

Excellent place for a hanging out with friends and family. Food is super tasty. All basic amenities with all hygiene maintained. Staff is very very co-operative and is very helpful. No inconvenience caused from the staff during stay. Complementary activities were well arranged by the staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was on time. Co-operative and punctual staff.

Flush in the washroom was non-functional, Service was poor, there wasn't enough food and especially the food they offered during discussion wasn't there actually e.g., no eggs for breakfast which was earlier said will be available at breakfast. Faced a major issue with food. The location was so good that any network wasn't available and the property didn't have a functional wifi. The property was not well maintained, the pool being really dirty and unfit for use and despite requesting them to clean they didn't.

Very good stay we get the whole space to explore and the food it was very good we particularly met the Chef Ganesh Singh and gave him the reviews and the staff were ready to do what we asked they were very humble. Highly recommend to come with family, friends. Overall had a great experience and super safe and clean at the end. Thankyou Gaachee team

Kolad has always been a favorite spot for weekend getaways, but what sets it apart from the rest? Firstly, the property manager, a perfectionist with an eye for detail, ensures a seamless experience for guests with valuable tips for activities and overall enjoyment. This personalized touch and attention to detail make a stay at Gaachee Resort stand out. The ambience at Gaachee Resort is exceptional, with a well-maintained and expansive property that provides a serene setting for relaxation. The spacious rooms can comfortably accommodate at least four people, making it ideal for families or group trips. The food served at the resort is of high quality and delicious, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the resort only has one pool, which might be busy during peak weekends, the lush surroundings make up for it. A unique feature of Gaachee Resort is the absence of TVs in the rooms, encouraging guests to disconnect and fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the surroundings. Moreover, the resort is located in a no network zone, allowing guests to truly unwind and enjoy their holiday without distractions. Although the narrow roads leading to the resort can be a slight inconvenience, this is a common aspect of most resorts in the area. Overall, Gaachee Resort comes highly recommended for those planning a family or group trip, offering a blend of comfort, nature, and tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere in Kolad.

I was impressed by all the staff and owner of the resort. The place is in between the nature, so that one leaves all the worries and problem behind and fully enjoy the nature. The rafting in Kolad (kundalika river) is one of the experience you will enjoy the most and resort makes all the arrangements for the same and end point is 600m walk from the resort, so it is very convenient. Food also was covered under the package and trust me when I say, it was like a five star. So all in all, it was best experience.

Gaachee just like it's name is a forest resort in Kolad, located amidst a small, lush green forest and surrounded by tall grasslands that reach 6-7 feet. I visited during the monsoon, so the greenery was dense and refreshing. However, keep in mind that summers can be harsh here due to high humidity, partly because of a nearby stream. The rooms are designed to accommodate four people per row house, though there are additional charges if you prefer single, double, or triple occupancy. Meals are included in the stay, with a choice between a Silver and Gold package. The Gold package costs an extra 500 INR and offers a couple of additional dishes. However, in my opinion, the Silver package is more than sufficient with its variety of vegetables, rice, dal, salad, papad, and dessert. One unique perk is the resort's evening check-in policy, allowing a 23-hour stay with all meals included (breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner), which is especially convenient if you plan to go river rafting in the morning when the Kundalika River dam is opened. Here are a few important Highlights - Dining: Meals must be eaten in the dining area and cannot be taken to the rooms. The dinner area has dim lighting to keep insects away, which may feel slightly uncomfortable for some guests. An a la carte menu is also available, though only a few items are typically in stock. Room Amenities: Rooms now come with a TV and mini-fridge, although the TV channels weren't working. They mentioned plans to provide Wi-Fi in all rooms soon, but currently, Wi-Fi is only available in the dining area, primarily for payment purposes. Note that Wi-Fi speed is limited. Payment Options: For credit card payments, a 3% fee applies, available only during online booking. On-site payments can be made via cash or UPI. If you're not comfortable with the extra card fees, you can raise this with your bank. Activities: If you want to go river rafting, let the resort know in advance; they can arrange it for you along with transportation. The owner is very polite, straightforward, and available on call or at the reception to assist with any concerns. A swimming pool is also available on the property, along with indoor and outdoor bath showers. Evening Entertainment: There's is a game of houise as an evening activity available for 20/- per ticket to engage guests before dinner, followed by a DJ session, with a part of the dining area converted into a small dance floor. Insect Precautions: Since it's a forested area, there are many insects, especially near the lights. It's recommended to carry Odomos and keep your room and balcony doors closed. Network Connectivity: There's almost no mobile network in the area. Occasionally, you might get a single bar of Jio signal, but it's not reliable for internet access, so plan accordingly. Additional Notes: The resort provides two bottles of water per room each day. If you stay more than one night, be sure to ask for the next day's bottles upfront. Overall, Gaachee is an excellent choice for nature lovers and adventure seekers, especially those looking to unwind in a forested setting and enjoy activities like river rafting. Just be prepared for limited connectivity and carry insect repellent!

Good and clean rooms. The staff are very good and cooperative. Especially Vikas (staff) one man army. Food is very good.
