The Igatpuri Villas

I had booked Igatpuri Villa for 3 nights , 28th April ,2018- 1st May, 2018.|Since I was travelling with kids we wanted to spend more time relaxing at the resort. ||Things to Note before you book Igatpuri Villas:|1) Igatpuri Villas was not operational as the property was taken over by some other firm & hence we were allowed room at Rainforest Resort.||2) This huge property has 3 resorts operating , "Igatpuri Villa"( which is now closed), "Bodh Valley" & Rainforest Resort.||3) There are 2 restaurants at this huge property one is Pure Veg which is run by Rainforest Resort and the other restaurant is at Bodh Valley which consist of both Veg and Non Veg buffet .||4) Make sure to book your meals the day you check in because per meal gets expensive & buying a package makes sense.|On the first day we paid 400 pp for lunch(veg) and 500(nonveg) for dinner.|Realising this would get expensive we asked the manager to work out a package for us. So he then helped us with 900 package for Non Veg buffet which included Breakfast, Lunch ,High Tea & Dinner. So please work out a plan before you opt for paying for different meals.|Breakfast included eggs if your a non vegetarian.||5) There is no room service which was very annoying. They do not serve anything in the room but since we had kids we used to get our plates in the room.||6) Power cut is throughout the day but harldy for 5 mins or so.||7). Wifi was free for us so on requesting the passwords and log in was provided at the reception. Although no network in |the room but due to boosters outside wifi is Operational in the exterior.||The overall experience was good. The location of the resort is beautiful & scenic . Very spacious rooms with small balcony. There is pool area which is common for all 3 resorts. There is a indoor gaming zone for table tennis, carrom , throwball. |There is an adventure zone too for sky cycling, zip lining, Burma bridge, etc.|If you have a big family The Villa is a perfect choice. |Food is good not Soo extra ordinary. Loved the Dahi kadi and most importantly since i had a 9month old baby the buffet had Dal khichdi too. So there was no need to separately order meal for my baby. |They do no provide water bottles in rooms instead there is a RO in every room and incase you wish you buy bottled water there is a shop just opposite the Rainforest dining area which also sells other drinks , ice creams and snacks .|Apart from the lack of some services the place is a must try because of it's scenic view and cool climate in the evening.|There is no restriction to sit at pool area.|We enjoyed the DJ night organised all 3 days , they even had a screen put up for IPL. So every space in the resort can be utilised well. Best for kids, families & couples.|Food quality can be improved and options are limited so hoping for better spread on our next visit.|

Best place to enjoy and having fun.Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places.

Igatpuri station to Rainforest Resort......||Forgot to add this tiny but important information. For those travelling via train to Igatpuri....the GPS will tell you that the resort is just 20 mins away from the station. So you might feel wary when the rickshaw drivers say that it is close to 30 mins and more that 10kms away.||I felt the same. The thing is that the route rickshaw drivers take is a less treacherous one as to the one shown on GPS or Google maps. The shorter route takes you through a hill, where the road is steep and quite scary after sundown. Hence trust the rickshaw drivers on this one since I have experienced the same and take the extra mile to reach the resort. ||The same rickshaw driver (Mr. Anil) took us through the shorter route the very next day and then we saw how treacherous it could be in the night time. ||A very humble and decent young man is Mr. Anil. His cell number is 95527 24056. Do give my reference so he will know. He charges 1000/- for sightseeing of 4 nearby spots whereas others mostly begin with 1200/- and will come down to 1000/- after negotiating. ||I felt this guy to be good hence promoting his business. ||Happy and safe travels everyone......

We booked for one night for a large group of family. The rooms in the villa were not good, the bathroom door was broken, did not have latches and was stinking badly. When we complained about it, the house keeping sprayed air freshener, and nothing more than that. The tiles near the entrance of the villa were broken. ||The buffet costs around 400 but the person in charge there said that a few items were not available and the price will be the same.||One more thing they do is accept booking in the name of "Rain Forest" or "Bodh valley" or "Igatpuri Villas"; whereas all 3 are the same property with different names.||We vacated the room without staying for one night and shifted to another resort nearby.||will never go back to "Rain Forest" or "Bodh valley" or "Igatpuri Villas". Bad experience.

Stayed at igatpuri-villas on the occasion of our 5th anniversary last month. Indeed a memorable stay. The staff took all care to give us a nice quiet room and ensured we were comfortable. Though it was a weekend inspite of full occupancies at the resort the staff both at the restaurant and the rooms, gave us efficient service. The quality of the food which we enjoyed blended with all the other arrangements. All in all a wonderful stay worth recommending...

I had gone with my friends and family. The view was so beautiful that it can calm a persons mind in 10 min. The rooms was Soo nicely maintained that we felt very relaxed. I enjoyed my trip a lot.

Igatpuri Villas, has the most disgusting management, or NO MANAGEMENT. Had booked a room through RedBus for check in on 27th April and checkout on 29th for my Sister and her friend. Before going we had confirmed our booking through MR ANIL PARANJAPE, the owner and the only staff I suppose of the whole resort. He was rude from the time we called him. We asked for directions, he said its on the net, we asked him a few other questions regarding the resort, he said you can check on the net. Nevertheless, the booking was 100% non refundable so my sister and her friend left for this waste of a trip to this IGATPURI VILLAS. The best part is when they reached, the reception door was shut literally. There was a lock and there was no one. We were in for a rude shock. My sister called MR ANIL, who kept her waiting for an hour or so that please wait he is resolving the issue. I even contacted RedBus whose response was YES SIR MY BACKHAND TEAM WILL GET TO YOU IN SOMETIME. I mean seriously? This resort is a one single property having 3 managements, 1) IGATPURI SHITLAS 2) Rainforest 3) Bodhgaya. The Bodhgaya management approaches us and tells us to take the room with them by paying them. My sister waited for about couple of hours and decided to take the room with BODHGAYA and paid for 2 nights. Till this time there was no response whatsoever From MR ANIL from IGATPURI SHITLAS. Finally he is calling me and telling me that they have got a room so please don't worry showing as if he was the one who made the room available. My sister paid for it and still there was no response from REDBUS whom we already had paid the entire amount. Finally RedBus gives a THIRDGRADE REPLY that we can't process refund unless the hotelier allows us. I mean wtf.|Stay away from this PROPERTY STRICTLY. DO NOT BOOK. DO NOT BOOK.

A good place for a weekend's stay. Food is ok and rooms are ok. Lot of parking space also with personal parking. Location for the hotel is terrible with bad roads to the entrance. This place along with Rainforest Resort is like a locality.
