Nice and affordable place for a short stay with family and friends. There's a scope for better maintenance of the rooms and garden area. Food quality is good. Poor mobile network. Approach road is very small but motorable. Must have self / rented vehicle.

MTDC has its resorts in the best location, you can view Koyna Dam from your balcony as the hotel is on the top of a hill. Food is prepared fresh and tasty with both veg and non veg options. Night Safari should be on the list it's one of an experience. Approach road needs a skillful drive on the mountain road.
Great location. Rooms are spacious but interiors are basic. Bathrooms huge but be ready to take bath with water bucket. Toilet waste system was not working that was a horrible experience. Even after complaining they could hardly fix. Food was great and affordable.|Suggest avoid and wait till they lease maintenance for next year or so
You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy... the resort is in a difficult place to reach as the road is quite bad for the last one kilometre to the resort. The rooms are bare simple , with a decent balcony, you can also view the Koyna dam in the distance. Service is good and the staff very polite. Food is delicious and has to be ordered in advance (all meals except breakfast) Breakfast is complimentary but you will be told of a certain limit of how much is Complimentary post which you need to Pay. Still for 3200 not a bad place to stay
Visited the resort for two nights with the family. It's located at around 2kms from the Koynanagar Bus Stand on the hills. The property is big with a lot of trees. They have Dorms, Cottages and Premium Cottages. All cottages have Koyna Dam view. The rooms have balcony from where one can get the Dam view. It's a decent view and would look wonderful during or just after monsoon.|Rooms are big and have a big bathroom. The bedding was not of great comfort. We were three people, so had opted for additional bed. They provided a mattress but it was not comfortable either. Bathroom was big but could have been much better maintained. It's a MTDC resort. So, one has to deal with this arrangement anyhow.|They have a separate dining section and a decent list of menu items. You need to order your food at least 1hr early or even you can order your next meal while having the current one. They plan the preparation accordingly. Also, you get tea/coffee at specific timings only. We once asked at around 11am and they said that the kitchen staff is having breakfast now and can't prepare tea/coffee now. Food taste is ok-ish. Not too good or not too bad either. Breakfast is limited. If you order extra, you need to pay for it.|The MTDC staff, on-request, arranges for jungle safari as well. One can go to Koyna jungle safari or Chandoli safari. |Overall, it's a secluded place. Being a MTDC property, the location is amazing. One will be away from all noises and pollution and can experience silence and solitude here. But, if you are ok with all the other stuff that MTDC resorts have, you can spend a good weekend here.
My family and my sister-in-law's family had a wonderful stay at Koyna MTDC. We absolutely loved the place, but the best part was the food. It was simple, freshly cooked, and incredibly delicious. We had an amazing two-day stay from August 15th to 17th, 2024. Though we missed to witness in person Koyna Dam 15th Aug event but this place is amazing at this price .We can't wait to return again and again
The resort location is very good and worth it to book royal suits if you are really interested in morning and evening scenery located beside Koyana Dam. Room and restaurant service are not good and very limited options available nearby for food so plan accordingly if you are travelling with family.
Resort is located on sahyadri hills near Koyna Dam, around 3 kms uphill from Koynanagar bus stop (autos available at bus stop if one prefers to travel by bus). Location is the USP of this resort as most of the rooms have direct view of hills and dam, surrounded by forest area. Rooms are basic but very spacious, many of them have large balconies facing dam. Restaurant menu is limited but food is delicious. Mobile network is weak, only Jio and Vi networks were available during our visit.
