Swagat Hotel & Lodge

I am reviewing this for their restaurant.I always have breakfast here whenever am in chiplun. Good maharshtrian items are served. They are all well made.Seating is spacious.Along with breakfast items they sell certain items at counter like ladoos,chakli,mango pickle etc,.Reasonable price

Good place to stay. Exact opposite to Chiplun bus depot 3 kms from Chiplun railway station

You get breakfast items in swagat hotel. Limited items they offer like vada, idli, poha, shira, misal paav etc. No dosa. Taste is very good. Prices are very reasonable. Parking is an issue.

We were on the business trip to Lote, and th main reason we took this hotel as we wanted to travel lot of places near Chiplun and it would be highly convenient there. We liked the service and simplicity of the staff we talked to. these people are vary cordial and helpful. The room I had was double room having a king size , nice balcony. It was a good experience and must say a decent choice of hotel in the area.

I used this hotel for my rural marketing stint. Property is very basic. The greatest advantage is its near to city bus stand (Government Bus Service - Cheap & Reliable)||||Experience was little strange as vis-a-vis price rooms were good, but again staff service was basic. Food is little oily & nearby also not many exotic food options available.

Worst hotel I ever seen, I've checked-in and found that A/c is not working, no cleanliness, small room and bathrooms are dirty too. So Within 10min of check-in we asked to cancel booking. Hotel Admin demanded whole 1 days rent for cancellation. Is this right way to behave with customer? Even all rooms were empty so there is no chance of customer loss due to my checked-in, And he is misbehaving with my father too. And as per his room condition it is expensive. They are greedy for money, no service.

We were on our family tour in Konkan. We got down in Chiplun via Konkan railway. Chiplun railway station is very clean and has something very special about it. Just like Ratnagiri Railway station, this station is also having mineral water plant installed on platform. You don't need to buy water to drink. We took rickshaw and went to Central ST stand or CBS stand. (There are 3 ST stands in Chiplun). Main reason we went to take hotel near ST stand was we wanted to travel lot of places near Chiplun and it would be highly convenient to get & change the buses there. We saw 2-3 hotels / lodges nearby and selected this hotel. We liked simplicity and gesture of personnel we spoke to. In Konkan, hospitality industry is just speeding up. However these people are vary cordial and helpful. We paid the advance and they said remaining amount will be adjusted while check out. We could check out after 24 hours. ||||The room we had was double room having separate beds which we joined later. We had nice balcony where we could see ST stand view. In night I sat there watching buses coming, people getting down / up and again buses going out. It was funny as I never stayed near ST stand so close (Its just stone throwing distance or simply 100 meters) We got fresh and went out to go to Parshuram. Its pilgrim centre and having Parshuram temple on hillside. We could see very nice view of Chiplun city and river Vashishthi. We ate some nice dinner there which is unique maharashtrian cousine like Thalipith, Usal, Kokam sarbat etc. We cam back hotel and relaxed. We watched TV for some time and then we felt sleepy.||||We could get nice breakfast & tea in the restaurant in the same hotel building next morning. We again got outside to see Derawan where life of Shivaji maharaj portrayed in the form statues. The statues are so lively, very nice ! All this is called Shiv srushti. Again we cam back Chiplun and got our lunch. My kid also tried flavored milk available om ST stand. Because of ST stand we were feeling very comfortable and secured. The hotel room and corridor was quite clean. We had attached bathroom / toilet. Also common toilet was available at the end for some other rooms. The hotel has 2 buildings. We lived in newer one. Take care from mosquitoes !||||Last but not least, there is one very beautiful garden just close to hotel as well as ST stand. Information about environmental awareness with lot of photos of species, trees, animals etc. were exhibited. Great effort ! Also there are children play facilities, small artificial lake, jogging track and sit outs. Perfect time pass zone ! Also there is historical shiv temple where Sane guruji broke the temple resistance to backward classes. Sane guruji stature is constructed as memorial. Must see and remember the history. ||||Over all it was nice & comfortable stay. We checked out in afternoon and proceeded to beach called Guhagar.

If you want a short stay then this lodge is OK. Not too many amenities. Location is good as it is near to the bus stand. Comparatively cheap. Congested place having too many mosquitoes. But when requested they gave mosquito repellant .Parking space is available.
